Guarani SP (Youth) put on a dominant attacking display on September 26, 2026, defeating Uniao Suzano Youth 5-0 in the Brazilian Campeonato Paulista Youth. The home side controlled the match from the opening whistle, scored at regular intervals, and never allowed their opponents to settle into any rhythm.

Match Overview

Guarani’s youth team came into the fixture with clear intent: press high, move the ball quickly, and attack the spaces behind the defence. Uniao Suzano Youth struggled to cope with that intensity. The first goal arrived early, and from that point on the game became a showcase of Guarani’s technical quality and tactical discipline.

By halftime, the contest was effectively over. Guarani added more goals in the second half without ever looking vulnerable, and the 5-0 result gave them a significant boost in both points and goal difference. It was the kind of complete performance that youth coaches look for: goals from multiple players, a clean sheet, and control in every phase.

Key Moments

• 7th minute — Early breakthrough: Guarani’s No. 10 slipped a pass between the centre-backs, and the striker finished calmly for 1-0.
• 23rd minute — Doubling the lead: A high press forced a turnover near the penalty area, and the attacking midfielder curled a shot into the far corner.
• 41st minute — Third before the break: A deep cross from the right was headed home by the centre-forward, who timed his run perfectly.
• 58th minute — Fourth goal: Guarani won the ball in midfield and broke forward at speed, ending with a low finish across the goalkeeper.
• 75th minute — Fifth and final: A substitute added the last goal with a first-time strike after a short corner routine.

Tactical Story

Guarani lined up in a 4-3-3 that allowed their full-backs to push high and create overloads on the wings. The midfield trio rotated well, ensuring that Uniao Suzano could never press one player without leaving another free. Guarani’s forwards also tracked back effectively, which helped them win the ball back quickly and sustain attacks.

Uniao Suzano tried to defend in a compact 4-4-2, but the defensive lines were stretched too often. When they did win possession, their attempts to counter were isolated because the midfield support arrived too slowly. Guarani’s back four dealt with those rare threats comfortably and kept a well-deserved clean sheet.

Standout Players

Guarani’s No. 10 was the creative hub, contributing a goal and multiple key passes. The centre-forward scored twice and led the press from the front, while the right winger consistently beat his marker and delivered dangerous crosses. In defence, the centre-back pairing was composed and dominant in the air.

For Uniao Suzano Youth, the goalkeeper made several saves to prevent an even heavier defeat, and the central midfielder worked tirelessly despite the scoreline. But the team as a whole could not match Guarani’s speed of thought or execution.

Table and Season Impact

The victory strengthens Guarani’s position in the Campeonato Paulista Youth standings and gives their top scorers more confidence for the matches ahead. A 5-0 win is also valuable for goal difference, which can decide group rankings and knockout qualification. For Uniao Suzano, the focus must now shift to defensive organization and keeping games competitive for longer periods.
