Real SC and SER Panambi played out a thrilling 3-3 draw in the Brazilian Campeonato Gaúcho 2, a result that delivered everything a neutral could want and left both camps with a mixture of frustration and pride. Real SC led twice, Panambi refused to lie down, and a late equaliser ensured the points were shared after a breathless contest.

Match Overview

The Campeonato Gaúcho Série A2 is known for its intensity, and this fixture lived up to the reputation. Real SC started the brighter, using the width of their home pitch to stretch Panambi's defensive block, while the visitors grew into the game as the first half wore on and began to find joy in the channels between full-back and centre-back.

What followed was a genuinely open second half in which both defences struggled to contain the opposing front lines — a reminder of why goals are rarely in short supply at this level.

Key Moments

• Real SC take control: The hosts opened the scoring with a crisp move down the left and doubled the advantage soon after, capitalising on a defensive lapse.
• Panambi respond: A goal before the interval gave the visitors belief, and they levelled early in the second half with a well-struck effort from the edge of the box.
• Real SC edge ahead again: A third goal restored the home lead and had the home supporters believing the win was secured.
• The late twist: Panambi pushed bodies forward in the closing stages and found the equaliser, sparking wild celebrations on the bench.

Tactical Story

Both teams set up to attack. Real SC favoured quick combinations through the inside channels, with their full-backs providing the overlap, while Panambi were more direct, targeting the space behind the home defence with long diagonal balls.

The game's rhythm was dictated by midfield turnovers. Neither side managed to impose sustained control, and the constant back-and-forth meant defenders were repeatedly forced to defend facing their own goal. Both coaches made attacking substitutions in the second half, effectively accepting that the match would be decided by who scored last rather than who defended best.

Standout Performers

Real SC's attacking midfielder was at the heart of nearly everything positive for the hosts, linking play and arriving late in the box. Panambi's forward line showed real character, with the substitute who drove the comeback demonstrating the sort of impact every manager hopes for from the bench. Both goalkeepers were busy and both will feel they could have done more on at least one of the goals.

Table and Season Impact

In the Campeonato Gaúcho 2, where the margin between qualification and elimination is razor thin, a single point can prove decisive. Real SC will be disappointed to have surrendered a lead twice on home soil, while Panambi will view the draw as a valuable away result and a marker of their resilience. Both sides remain firmly in the fight for progression, but both know that tightening up defensively is now essential if they are to turn draws into wins.
