Guarani RS and Aimoré RS shared the spoils in a 1-1 draw on Wednesday night, a Campeonato Gaúcho 2 clash that delivered plenty of intensity but left both managers with mixed emotions.

Honours Even

Guarani struck first and held the upper hand for much of the first half, but Aimoré responded after the interval with an equaliser that rewarded their improved pressing and ambition. From there, the game became an end-to-end affair, with both sides searching for a winner that never arrived.

Key Moments

• Guarani opener: A sharp passing move cut through the Aimoré defence, finished with a first-time strike from inside the penalty area.
• Chances to double: Guarani had two clear opportunities to extend the lead before half-time, but the Aimoré goalkeeper stood firm.
• Aimoré equaliser: A well-delivered cross from the right found a late-arriving midfielder, who headed home to level the scores.
• Late drama: Both teams pushed for a winner in the final ten minutes, with a goal-line clearance and a shot off the bar keeping the scoreline level.

Tactical Story

Guarani's attacking full-backs caused problems early, stretching Aimoré down the flanks, but the visitors adjusted their shape at half-time and began winning the ball higher up the pitch. That shift in territory turned the contest into a genuinely even battle, with midfield transitions becoming the defining feature of the second half.

Standout Players

Guarani's wide forward was a constant threat in the first half, and his direct running earned his side the lead. For Aimoré, the goalscoring midfielder was the catalyst for the comeback, driving forward repeatedly and timing his arrival in the box perfectly for the equaliser.

What It Means

Both clubs add a point to their tally in a tightly packed Campeonato Gaúcho 2 table. Guarani will rue missed chances that could have sealed all three points, while Aimoré will take confidence from a strong away performance and a second-half display that suggested better results are around the corner.
