Sao Bento (W) and Realidade Jovem Women shared the spoils in a 2-2 draw in BP C W, with a two-goal lead slipping away in a dramatic second half.

Sao Bento made the stronger start and looked in control after building a 2-0 advantage. Realidade Jovem, however, responded with a goal before half-time and found an equaliser later in the match to claim a valuable point. The comeback made for an entertaining contest and left both teams with mixed emotions.

Match overview

Sao Bento began with purpose, pressing high and attacking with numbers. Their early dominance was rewarded with the opening goal after a sustained spell of pressure. A second goal followed soon after, giving the home side a comfortable cushion and forcing Realidade Jovem to reassess their approach.

Rather than collapse, Realidade Jovem found a foothold. They pulled one goal back before the interval and began to win more possession in midfield. The equaliser arrived in the second half after a period of sustained pressure, and Sao Bento were unable to find a late winner despite pushing forward again.

Key moments

• Opening goal: Sao Bento’s early pressure produced the breakthrough after a dangerous attack down the flank.
• Two-goal lead: A second finish gave the home side control and forced Realidade Jovem to respond.
• Lifeline before half-time: Realidade Jovem scored at an important moment to keep the match alive.
• Second-half equaliser: A well-worked move ended with a composed finish to make it 2-2.
• Late chances: Both teams had opportunities in the final 10 minutes, but neither could find a winner.

Tactical story

Sao Bento’s fast start was built on aggressive pressing and quick attacks into the box. For 30 minutes, that approach worked well. The challenge came when Realidade Jovem adjusted, tightened their midfield and began to play through the first line of pressure.

Realidade Jovem’s substitutions and tactical tweaks made a difference. They pushed their wide players higher, stretched Sao Bento’s defence and created more space between the lines. Sao Bento, meanwhile, dropped deeper after taking the lead and struggled to regain the momentum they had earlier in the game.

Standout performers

Realidade Jovem’s midfield was central to the comeback, winning loose balls and driving the team forward. Their forward also caused problems with movement in behind. For Sao Bento, the attacking players who built the early lead were dangerous, but the team’s defensive shape became stretched as the game wore on.

What it means

The draw feels like a missed opportunity for Sao Bento, who will rue letting a two-goal advantage slip. Realidade Jovem, by contrast, can take confidence from their resilience and second-half response. In BP C W, points are often decided by small margins, and this comeback could prove important for Realidade Jovem’s momentum as the campaign continues.
