Wydad Casablanca earned a 1-0 away win over UTS Union Touarga Sport Rabat in the Botola Pro on October 25, 2026, with a single goal enough to settle a tense derby-style encounter in Rabat.

Match overview

Wydad Casablanca controlled large spells of the match but found UTS Rabat difficult to break down. The home side defended in numbers and looked to counter, while Wydad circulated the ball patiently. The breakthrough came in the second half, and Wydad’s experience helped them manage the remaining minutes without conceding.

Key moments

• 27th minute: Wydad’s first clear chance was headed wide from a promising cross.
• 58th minute: The decisive goal arrived with a low finish after a well-timed run into the penalty area.
• 70th minute: UTS Rabat’s best opportunity was blocked bravely by a sliding defender.
• 85th minute: Wydad slowed the tempo and kept possession to frustrate the home side’s late push.

Tactical story

Wydad’s 4-3-3 formation gave them control in midfield, with the full-backs providing width and the front three combining in tight spaces. UTS Rabat sat deep in a 5-4-1 out of possession and tried to spring forwards on the break, but their isolation in attack made it difficult to sustain pressure. Wydad’s patience ultimately paid off.

Standout performers

Wydad’s goalscorer was the match-winner, timing his run perfectly and finishing with composure. The defensive midfielder also played a key role, breaking up UTS counterattacks and recycling possession. For UTS Rabat, the goalkeeper kept the scoreline close with several saves, while the centre-backs defended resolutely.

Season impact

The away victory adds important points to Wydad Casablanca’s Botola Pro campaign and reinforces their title ambitions. UTS Rabat remain without a win in this fixture and will take encouragement from their defensive organisation, but they must find more attacking threat in upcoming matches.
