NK Bosna Visoko and Majevica played out a 0-0 draw in the Bosnia and Herzegovina Cup on 28 October 2026, with neither side able to find the breakthrough in a cup tie that was defined by defensive discipline, goalkeeping and a tense midfield battle. The result means the scoreboard remained level throughout, but the match was far from short of effort or tactical intrigue.

Match overview

The Bosnia and Herzegovina Cup clash promised a competitive encounter, and it delivered exactly that. NK Bosna Visoko and Majevica approached the game with caution, aware that a single mistake could decide the tie. The early stages were cagey, with both teams prioritising shape and looking to avoid giving away cheap space in dangerous areas.

As the match settled, Majevica began to see more of the ball in midfield, while NK Bosna Visoko looked to threaten through quick transitions and set pieces. The home side’s defensive line held its position well, and the visitors found it difficult to create clear openings despite enjoying some territorial advantage. The 0-0 scoreline told the story of a contest where the defences consistently came out on top.

Key moments

The best chances came in bursts rather than through sustained pressure. NK Bosna Visoko had moments when they worked the ball into promising positions, only to be denied by a well-timed challenge or a save from the Majevica goalkeeper. At the other end, Majevica’s attempts to break the deadlock were met by a compact and stubborn home defence.

Set pieces provided a source of hope for both sides, with corners and free kicks creating scrambles in the penalty area. On more than one occasion, a deflection or a loose ball threatened to open the scoring, but the final touch was missing. As the clock ticked down, the match became increasingly stretched, yet the goalkeepers remained focused and the defenders continued to make important clearances.

Tactical story

NK Bosna Visoko’s approach was built on solidity. They kept their defensive lines close together, protected the central areas and forced Majevica to play around them rather than through them. That structure made the home side difficult to break down and allowed them to stay in the tie even when the visitors enjoyed longer spells of possession.

Majevica, meanwhile, tried to use width and patient build-up to create gaps. Their midfield worked hard to recycle the ball and keep the pressure on, but they lacked the final pass needed to turn control into a goal. The game became a test of patience, and both teams showed the concentration required to avoid costly errors. In a cup match where one goal could have changed everything, that defensive discipline was especially valuable.

Standout performers

The two goalkeepers deserve much of the credit for the clean sheet. They handled high balls confidently, reacted well to shots from distance and commanded their areas during set-piece situations. Their calmness helped settle their defences and kept the match level.

In front of them, the centre-backs on both sides produced strong performances, winning headers and making timely interventions. The midfielders also played an important role, pressing, tracking runners and ensuring the game did not become too open. It was a night when the less glamorous parts of the game — positioning, communication and concentration — made the difference.

What the draw means

The 0-0 result keeps the Bosnia and Herzegovina Cup tie finely balanced and gives both clubs a platform to build on. NK Bosna Visoko will be encouraged by their defensive resilience and ability to hold their shape under pressure, while Majevica will look at the match as an opportunity missed in front of goal.

For supporters, it was a reminder that goalless draws can still be compelling. The cup tie was decided by small margins, with both teams producing committed performances and neither giving away anything easily. The result adds another layer of intrigue to the competition and leaves both camps with clear lessons ahead of their next outing.
