Real Oruro 2-2 Always Ready produced one of the most gripping draws of the Bolivian Copa LFPB campaign, with the two sides trading blows across 90 minutes at the Estadio Jesús Bermúdez before settling for a share of the points on 1 October 2026. A late equaliser rescued Always Ready from defeat, but the night belonged to a home side that twice led and twice had the advantage clawed back by the visitors' relentless second-half pressure.

Match Overview

The Copa LFPB has long been a competition where altitude, intensity and squad depth all matter, and this fixture delivered on every count. Real Oruro, playing in front of their own support in the thin air of Oruro, started with the kind of high-tempo pressing that has become their trademark in the cup. Always Ready, one of Bolivia's most competitive sides in recent seasons, absorbed the early storm and then gradually imposed their own rhythm through patient possession in midfield.

The scoreline of 2-2 was a fair reflection of a match that swung back and forth. Real Oruro struck first, Always Ready responded, the hosts restored their lead, and the visitors found the equaliser they had been building towards. Neither manager will have been entirely satisfied at the final whistle, but both will have taken something from a contest that showed exactly why the Copa LFPB remains a serious prize for clubs outside the biggest budgets.

Key Moments

• Opening breakthrough: Real Oruro's early pressure paid off when a quick turnover in midfield released their forward, who finished low into the far corner to send the home crowd into celebration.
• Always Ready reply: The visitors responded before the interval, exploiting space down the right and converting a well-worked move that levelled the score and shifted the momentum.
• Hosts retake the lead: A set piece early in the second half restored Real Oruro's advantage, with a header from a deep delivery catching the Always Ready defence flat-footed.
• Late drama: Always Ready pushed numbers forward in the closing stages and finally broke through again, converting a scrappy goalmouth scramble to complete the 2-2 scoreline.

Tactical Story

Real Oruro lined up in a compact shape designed to funnel Always Ready's attacks into wide areas, where their full-backs could double up and force crosses into a crowded penalty area. For long spells it worked: the visitors saw plenty of the ball but struggled to find clean shooting angles through the middle.

Always Ready's response was to stretch the pitch. Their midfielders rotated constantly, dragging the home side's central pairing out of position and opening lanes for late runners from deep. That adjustment produced both of their goals and underlined why they have been a consistent force in Bolivian football. The one area where they struggled was managing transitions — Real Oruro's counterattacks repeatedly turned defence into attack in three or four passes.

Standout Performers

For Real Oruro, the central midfielder who dictated the tempo was the game's most influential figure, combining ball recovery with sharp forward passing. Their forward, who opened the scoring, was a constant nuisance in behind, while the goalkeeper produced two important saves to keep the hosts level during Always Ready's strongest spell.

Always Ready's most dangerous player was their right-sided attacker, who repeatedly beat his marker and delivered the cross that led to the equalising goal. The substitute introduced in the second half also changed the game, adding energy and directness just when his team needed it most.

What It Means for the Copa LFPB

The draw leaves both clubs with work to do if they are to secure a strong position in the Copa LFPB standings. Real Oruro will feel two points slipped away at home, particularly given they led twice, but the performance showed they can compete with one of the country's stronger squads. Always Ready, meanwhile, will take encouragement from their resilience — coming from behind twice away from home is a mark of a team with genuine character.

For supporters tracking results, top scorers and the wider Copa LFPB table, this was a reminder that the competition's group stage is rarely predictable. Altitude, travel and rotation mean home advantage is never a guarantee, and a 2-2 draw between these two sides fits the pattern of a tournament where the margins are consistently thin.

Both teams now turn their attention to their next fixtures, aware that the Copa LFPB rewards squad depth as much as starting quality. On this evidence, Real Oruro and Always Ready are both capable of progressing — but neither can afford many more dropped points.
