BATE Borisov secured a hard-fought 2-1 victory over Slavia Mozyr in the Belarusian Premier League on 10 October 2026, using a strong first-half foundation and a decisive second goal to hold off a late fightback at the Borisov Arena. The win keeps BATE in the thick of the title conversation and extends their strong home record in domestic competition.

BATE started with intent, controlling possession and probing down both flanks. Their breakthrough came in the 22nd minute when a well-delivered corner was met by a powerful header at the near post. Slavia Mozyr responded with a more compact defensive shape, but BATE’s movement in midfield continued to create openings. The hosts doubled their lead early in the second half, breaking quickly after a Slavia attack and finishing with precision on the counter.

Key moments

Tactical story

BATE’s midfield triangle was central to the result. They won second balls, switched play effectively and prevented Slavia from building sustained momentum through the middle. Slavia’s goal gave them renewed belief, and they pushed more players forward in the final 15 minutes, but BATE’s back line held firm. The hosts were happy to concede territory late on and protect the narrow lead rather than chase a third goal.

Standout players and table impact

BATE’s set-piece threat and counter-attacking speed were the difference-makers, with the goalkeeper making a crucial save in the closing minutes to preserve the win. For Slavia Mozyr, the performance showed resilience but also the difficulty of recovering from a two-goal deficit against one of the league’s strongest sides. The result adds three valuable points to BATE’s total as they continue to chase the top spot, while Slavia remain in need of consistency to move up the Belarusian Premier League standings.
