Slavija Sarajevo and Kozara Gradiska Cancel Each Other Out in 0-0 Draw

Slavija Sarajevo and FK Kozara Gradiska played to a goalless 0-0 draw on September 23, 2026, in the BIH PL-RS. It was a match defined by defensive discipline, midfield battles, and two goalkeepers who refused to be beaten.

Slavija Sarajevo started with the greater share of possession, using their home advantage to push Kozara Gradiska back. Their wingers found early space, and a couple of crosses flashed across the face of goal without a decisive touch. Kozara, however, defended with organisation and looked dangerous on the break.

Match Overview

The first half settled into a pattern: Slavija circulated the ball, while Kozara sat compact and tried to spring counter-attacks through their front two. Clear chances were rare, but the game was never dull. Both midfields worked hard to close gaps, and every loose ball was contested with intensity.

After the break, Slavija raised their tempo. They pushed their full-backs higher and began to deliver more crosses into the box. Kozara responded by dropping deeper and protecting the central areas. The best opportunities came from set pieces, but headers went wide and shots from distance were gathered safely.

Key Moments

• Early Slavija pressure: A low cross from the left caused panic in the Kozara box before being cleared.
• Kozara counter-attack: A quick break forced Slavija’s goalkeeper into a smart save at the near post.
• Late set-piece chance: Slavija won a free kick in a dangerous position, but the effort went just over the bar.

Tactical Story

Slavija Sarajevo’s approach was patient, almost methodical. They tried to pull Kozara out of shape with switches of play, but the visitors’ back four stayed disciplined. Kozara’s tactical plan was clear: absorb pressure, stay compact, and use direct balls to relieve pressure.

The game became a test of patience. Slavija’s midfielders probed for openings, while Kozara’s defenders blocked shots and cleared crosses. In the final 15 minutes, Slavija committed more bodies forward, but Kozara’s goalkeeper and centre-backs held their ground.

Standout Players

Slavija’s goalkeeper was alert when called upon, especially during Kozara’s rare counter-attacks. Their central midfielder dictated much of the play and kept the team moving forward. For Kozara Gradiska, the goalkeeper produced the save of the match, and the two centre-backs delivered a commanding defensive performance.

Table Impact

A point apiece keeps both sides within touching distance of the early-season pack in the BIH PL-RS standings. Slavija will be frustrated not to convert possession into goals, while Kozara will view the clean sheet as a valuable building block. In a league where away points are hard to earn, the draw carries real value for the visitors.
