Majevica 3-0 FK Velež Nevesinje — Majevica delivered one of their most convincing performances of the Prva Liga Republike Srpske campaign, sweeping aside FK Velež Nevesinje with a commanding three-goal victory on a chilly October evening.

A statement win on home soil

From the opening whistle, the hosts set the tempo. Majevica pressed high, moved the ball quickly through midfield, and refused to let Nevesinje settle into any rhythm. The breakthrough came before the half-hour mark, and once the deadlock was broken, the match never really looked like swinging back in the visitors' favour. By the time the referee signalled for half-time, the pattern of the contest was already established: Majevica dictating, Nevesinje chasing.

Key moments that decided the game

• First goal: A sharp, well-worked move down the right ended with a composed finish that beat the Nevesinje goalkeeper at his near post.
• Second goal: A set-piece delivery caused chaos in the penalty area, and Majevica's forward reacted fastest to double the advantage.
• Third goal: A counter-attacking strike in the second half that killed off any lingering hope of a comeback.

Tactical story: midfield control and relentless pressing

Majevica lined up with a compact shape and used their midfield triangle to suffocate Nevesinje's build-up play. Whenever the visitors tried to play out from the back, they were met with immediate pressure, forcing long balls that Majevica's defenders comfortably dealt with. Going forward, the home side attacked in numbers, with full-backs pushing high and creating overloads in wide areas. It was a disciplined, intelligent display — the kind of performance that wins matches and, over a season, wins promotion races.

Standout performers

The Majevica forward line was ruthless in front of goal, converting three of their clearest chances, while the defensive unit deserves enormous credit for a clean sheet. Nevesinje's goalkeeper, despite conceding three, made several sharp saves that prevented the scoreline from becoming even more lopsided. Their captain worked tirelessly in midfield, but the visitors lacked the cutting edge to trouble a well-organised home defence.

What it means for the table

Three points and a three-goal margin give Majevica a valuable boost in both standings and goal difference, an important currency in a division where promotion and relegation battles are often decided by fine margins. For FK Velež Nevesinje, it is a sobering result — one that leaves them needing a response in their next fixture if they are to keep pace with the sides above them. Majevica, meanwhile, will travel with confidence, having shown exactly what they are capable of when their pressing game clicks.
