FK Velež Nevesinje and Laktasi played out a 0-0 draw in the BIH PL-RS on 24 October 2026, with both defences dominating a match that offered plenty of effort but no breakthrough. The home side enjoyed spells of pressure, especially after the interval, while Laktasi defended resolutely and carried a threat on the counter-attack.

Match overview

The 20:00 kick-off produced a tight, physical contest typical of the division. FK Velež Nevesinje looked to impose themselves early, using their home advantage to push the full-backs forward and get crosses into the box. Laktasi, meanwhile, sat compact and looked to strike on transitions. The first half was short on clear chances, with both goalkeepers largely protected by their defensive units.

As the game progressed, FK Velež Nevesinje became more adventurous. They moved the ball quicker in midfield and tried to stretch Laktasi’s back line, but the visitors held their shape well and limited the home side to efforts from distance. At the other end, Laktasi’s best moments came from quick breaks and set pieces.

Key moments

The closest the home side came to a goal was a second-half sequence that ended with a shot flashing wide of the post. FK Velež Nevesinje also appealed for a penalty during a scramble in the box, but the referee waved away the claims. Laktasi responded with a dangerous counter-attack of their own, forcing the home goalkeeper into a smart save.

In the final 15 minutes, both teams pushed for a winner. FK Velež Nevesinje sent more players forward, while Laktasi looked to exploit the spaces left behind. The match became stretched, but the quality of the defending remained high and neither side could find the finishing touch.

Tactical story

FK Velež Nevesinje’s game plan revolved around territorial control. They won several corners and free-kicks in promising areas but struggled to convert those set pieces into clear chances. Their midfield worked hard to recycle possession, yet Laktasi’s defensive block was difficult to break down.

Laktasi’s discipline was the story of their performance. The visitors defended narrow, forced FK Velež Nevesinje wide and dealt with crosses efficiently. When they won the ball, they looked to move it forward quickly, but the final pass often lacked precision. Still, a clean sheet away from home is a valuable result in the BIH PL-RS.

Standout performers

Both goalkeepers deserved credit for the shutout. FK Velež Nevesinje’s central defenders were strong in the air and dealt with Laktasi’s counter-attacks well, while the home captain in midfield kept the team pushing forward. For Laktasi, the back four and defensive midfielder stood out for their organisation and composure under late pressure.

Season impact

The draw adds a point to both teams’ tallies and underlines how competitive the BIH PL-RS can be. FK Velež Nevesinje will feel they did enough to win, but they will need to turn territorial dominance into goals in future home matches. Laktasi will be satisfied with a disciplined away performance and a clean sheet. The result leaves both sides with positives to build on as the season progresses.
