FK Kozara Gradiska 2-0 FK Zvijezda 09: First-Half Goals Set Up Comfortable Home Win

FK Kozara Gradiska secured a solid 2-0 victory over FK Zvijezda 09 in the BIH PL-RS on Saturday, 24 October 2026. Two goals in the first half gave the home side control, and a disciplined defensive display after the break ensured the points stayed in Gradiska.

The win was built on efficiency and organisation. Kozara took their chances when they arrived and then managed the game intelligently, denying Zvijezda 09 the space and time needed to mount a serious comeback.

Match overview

Kozara started brightly and looked dangerous whenever they moved the ball forward quickly. Their early pressure produced the opening goal, which settled the home side and forced Zvijezda to respond. The visitors tried to push up, but Kozara’s compact shape made it difficult for them to find rhythm in the final third.

A second goal before half-time gave Kozara a comfortable cushion. In the second half, the hosts sat slightly deeper, absorbed pressure and looked to hit on the counter-attack. Zvijezda had more possession but struggled to create clear-cut chances against a well-drilled back line.

Key moments

• Early Kozara goal: The home side opened the scoring after a period of pressure, finishing a promising attack with confidence.
• Second before half-time: Kozara doubled their lead with a well-timed move, taking a firm grip on the match.
• Zvijezda’s response: The visitors improved after the break and pushed more players forward, but their final delivery was inconsistent.
• Clean sheet secured: Kozara’s defence dealt with late crosses and set pieces to close out the result without conceding.

Tactical story

Kozara’s game plan was clear: stay compact, win the midfield battles and attack quickly when space opened up. They defended in numbers when required but always carried a threat on the break. The home side’s set-piece organisation was also important, allowing them to deal with Zvijezda’s attempts to build pressure from dead-ball situations.

Zvijezda 09 enjoyed more of the ball in the second half but lacked penetration. Their midfield found it difficult to play through Kozara’s lines, and crosses into the box were often cleared by the home defenders. The visitors’ best chances came from distance, but the Kozara goalkeeper was rarely troubled.

Standout performers

Kozara’s back line deserved significant credit for the clean sheet. The centre-backs were strong in the air and calm under pressure, while the full-backs balanced defensive duties with forward runs. In midfield, Kozara’s holding players controlled the tempo and protected the lead after the interval.

Zvijezda 09 had some positive spells, particularly after half-time, but the team lacked the cutting edge needed to turn possession into goals. Their goalkeeper kept the score respectable with a few saves, but the visitors ultimately left with nothing.

Season impact

The 2-0 win gives FK Kozara Gradiska another important home result in the BIH PL-RS and strengthens their position in the standings. For FK Zvijezda 09, the match highlights the need for more creativity and precision in the attacking third. Kozara’s ability to win while managing the game efficiently could be a key factor as the season progresses.
