The BIH PL-RS brought a tight, competitive encounter to Vojkovici, where the hosts edged out Sutjeska Foca 2-1 in a match that was decided by fine margins and one crucial moment in the closing stages. It was a result that rewarded Famos Vojkovici's persistence and added another valuable three points to their season's tally.

Match Overview

The two sides traded spells of pressure in a contest that never quite settled into a one-sided pattern. Famos Vojkovici looked the more purposeful team in possession early on, building patiently from the back and probing down both flanks, while Sutjeska Foca defended resolutely and looked dangerous whenever they won the ball in midfield and broke quickly.

With little to separate the teams over the opening hour, the game developed into a tactical battle of patience and concentration — exactly the kind of match that is so often decided by a single lapse or a single moment of quality.

Key Moments

• First goal: Famos Vojkovici broke through first, capping a period of sustained pressure with a finish that reflected their control of the ball.
• Immediate response: Sutjeska Foca answered quickly, restoring parity and demonstrating their counter-attacking threat.
• Decisive strike: The winning goal came as the game entered its decisive phase, the hosts converting a chance that would ultimately separate the two teams.
• Late resistance: Sutjeska Foca pushed forward in the closing minutes, but Vojkovici's defence held firm to protect the narrow advantage.

Tactical Story

The key to the match lay in the middle of the pitch. Famos Vojkovici were able to win the majority of second balls and recycle possession effectively, which allowed them to sustain attacks and pin Sutjeska Foca back for extended periods. Their wingers stayed wide to stretch the visiting defence, while the central midfielders alternated between supporting the attack and screening the counter-attack.

Sutjeska Foca's approach was intelligent and nearly effective. Their equaliser came from a sharp transition, and they defended with discipline for much of the match. The difference was that Vojkovici created a higher number of clear chances, and in a game of such narrow margins, that extra quality told.

Standout Performances

Famos Vojkovici's midfielders were central to the win, dictating tempo and repeatedly breaking up Sutjeska's attacking moves before they could develop. The goalscorers delivered when it mattered most, and the defensive unit dealt with the late aerial bombardment without panic. For Sutjeska Foca, the goalkeeper and back line produced a strong collective display, while their forward players showed they can punish teams in transition.

What It Means

In a division as tight as the BIH PL-RS, three points from a hard-fought home fixture can carry real significance by the time the table takes shape. For Famos Vojkovici, the victory reinforces their home record and their ability to grind out results in close matches. For Sutjeska Foca, there is encouragement in the performance even without the result: they competed for the full 90 minutes, matched their hosts for long spells and will feel that small improvements in the final third could quickly turn narrow defeats into points.
