Drina Zvornik delivered a controlled 2-0 home victory over Majevica in the BIH PL-RS on 24 October 2026, scoring once in each half to secure a result that underlined their strength on familiar ground. Majevica worked hard to stay in the contest, but the hosts’ superior control in midfield and sharper finishing made the difference.

Match overview

The match began with Drina Zvornik looking the more assured side. They kept possession patiently, moved the ball through midfield and looked to create space on the flanks. Majevica initially defended in a compact block and tried to threaten through quick breaks, but they found it difficult to hold the ball for sustained periods.

Drina’s pressure eventually told as they took the lead before half-time. The goal gave the home side confidence, and they managed the game intelligently after the break, adding a second goal before closing out the result.

Key moments

The opener came after a period of sustained possession from Drina Zvornik. A well-timed run into the penalty area was picked out, and the finish was calm enough to beat the Majevica goalkeeper. The visitors had a brief spell of pressure before the interval, but they could not find an equalizer.

The decisive second goal arrived in the second half. Drina won the ball back high up the pitch and moved it quickly into the attacking third before doubling their advantage. From there, the hosts managed the tempo well and limited Majevica to hopeful efforts from distance.

Tactical story

Drina Zvornik’s midfield was the foundation of the win. Their central players were quick to close down space and equally comfortable in possession, allowing the team to switch play and keep Majevica chasing. The full-backs provided width, while the forwards made intelligent runs between the centre-backs.

Majevica’s shape was disciplined for long spells, but they struggled to transition from defence to attack. When they did win the ball, the support was often too slow to arrive, allowing Drina to recover and snuff out the danger. The visitors’ best route into the game was through set pieces, but they could not make those moments count.

Standout performers

Drina’s striker was a constant problem for the Majevica defence, linking play and getting into scoring positions. The centre-back pairing also deserved praise for keeping the game under control after the second goal went in. In midfield, the home side’s captain dictated the tempo with a composed display.

For Majevica, the goalkeeper made several saves to prevent the margin from growing, while the midfield worked tirelessly to track runners. However, the visitors lacked the final pass needed to turn their effort into clear chances.

Season impact

The 2-0 win adds three important points to Drina Zvornik’s tally in the BIH PL-RS and reinforces their home form. In a competitive league, turning home fixtures into victories is essential for any side with ambitions near the top of the table.

Majevica will look to regroup after a difficult away day. The result leaves them with lessons to take into their next match, particularly in how to sustain possession and create more meaningful chances against organized opponents.
