Drukpa FC, the perennial title contenders, showed exactly why they are favourites for the 2026 championship. From the first whistle, they pressed relentlessly and created chance after chance. Ugyen Academy, who had won two of their previous five away games, were simply overwhelmed by the speed and precision of the home side’s attack.

Second Half – No Let‑Up

Drukpa continued to dominate after the break. In the 52nd minute, a sweeping team move ended with Wangchuk teeing up substitute Lhendup Dorji for a simple tap‑in. The fourth and final goal came in the 74th minute, a stunning long‑range strike from central midfielder Karma Choden that left Ugyen goalkeeper Sangay Penjor helpless. The visitors barely threatened, managing just one shot on target in the entire match.
