PWD Sports Club 0-2 Mohammedan Dhaka — Mohammedan Dhaka produced a composed, professional away display to take all three points from PWD Sports Club in the Bangladesh Premier League on 16 October 2026, winning by two goals to nil.

Mohammedan Dhaka Control the Contest

From the early minutes, the visitors looked the more settled side. Mohammedan Dhaka kept the ball well in midfield, rotated possession patiently and forced PWD Sports Club into long spells of chasing. The home side worked hard and defended in numbers, but struggled to build sustained attacks of their own, with their best moments coming from isolated breaks rather than structured play.

The breakthrough came from exactly the kind of move Mohammedan had been threatening: a patient build-up that pulled the PWD defence out of shape before a decisive finish. Once ahead, the visitors never looked like surrendering their advantage, managing the tempo of the game with the experience of a side used to competing at the top end of Bangladeshi football.

Key Moments

• Opening goal: Mohammedan Dhaka's persistence in the final third was rewarded as they converted a well-constructed attacking move.
• PWD's best spell: The home side pushed forward briefly after the restart, winning corners and free kicks but failing to find a clean sight of goal.
• Second goal: A clinical finish doubled the lead and effectively ended the contest, punishing PWD for committing players forward.
• Game management: Mohammedan slowed the pace in the closing stages, keeping possession and limiting space behind their back line.

Tactical Story

Mohammedan Dhaka set up with a compact midfield and looked to dominate the centre of the pitch, cutting off passing lanes into PWD's attackers. Their full-backs pushed forward selectively to support attacks without leaving the defence exposed. It was a disciplined, balanced performance — the kind that wins away fixtures in a long domestic season.

PWD Sports Club, by contrast, found it difficult to string passes together in the opposition half. Their pressing was energetic but often uncoordinated, allowing Mohammedan to play through the lines. When PWD did win the ball high up the pitch, the final pass too often went astray, and their strikers were left feeding on scraps.

Standout Players

Mohammedan Dhaka's midfield anchored the performance, dictating the rhythm of the match and breaking up PWD's attempts to counter. The goalscorers took their chances well, while the defensive unit delivered a clean sheet — always a marker of a well-organised team. For PWD Sports Club, the goalkeeper made several saves to keep the scoreline respectable, and the central defenders battled throughout despite the scoreline.

Table Impact

Three points on the road strengthen Mohammedan Dhaka's position in the Bangladesh Premier League and add to the momentum of a club with a proud tradition in the country's top division. For PWD Sports Club, the result is a reminder of the gap that still exists against the league's established powers, though the effort and organisation on display offer encouragement for the fixtures ahead.
