Tactical story

Bashundhara Kings used a high press and quick ball circulation to pin Chattogram back for long periods. Their full-backs pushed high, creating width, while the midfield rotated to keep passing lanes open. The Kings’ attacking patterns were varied: crosses from wide, cut-backs into the box and shots from the edge of the area.

Chattogram’s best moments came when they broke the first line of pressure and attacked the space behind Bashundhara’s advanced full-backs. Their two goals were well deserved, but they could not sustain that level of defensive discipline for the full 90 minutes.

Standout performers

Bashundhara’s wide attacker was central to the win, contributing a goal and an assist while constantly stretching the Chattogram defence. The midfield anchor also deserves credit for winning second balls and keeping the tempo high. For Chattogram, the forward who scored and troubled the back line throughout was their brightest performer.

What the result means

Bashundhara Kings stay firmly in the title conversation, and the three points will be especially satisfying because they came against a side capable of punishing mistakes. Chattogram City FC leave with no points but with evidence that they can score against the league’s best. The standings will show a Kings win; the performance shows why they remain the team to beat.
