The Bangladesh Federation Cup produced a decisive result at the Rahmatgonj MFS home ground, where Chattogram City FC claimed a commanding 3-1 away victory on 13 October 2026. The match, played under the 4:45 pm kick-off slot, saw the visitors take control of the contest and hold off a late rally from Rahmatgonj MFS to secure all three points in the group phase.

Match Overview

Chattogram City FC arrived with a clear plan: press high, win the ball in midfield and attack quickly through the channels. That approach paid off early, as the visitors established a rhythm that Rahmatgonj MFS struggled to disrupt. By the time the hosts adjusted their shape, Chattogram had already built the kind of lead that forces the opposition to chase the game.

Rahmatgonj MFS did manage to pull a goal back, giving their supporters a spell of genuine hope, but Chattogram City FC responded with composure rather than panic. The scoreline of 3-1 reflects a match in which the away side was sharper in the final third and more disciplined without the ball.

Key Moments That Shaped the Result

• The breakthrough: Chattogram's patient build-up play was rewarded as they opened the scoring, setting the tone for the rest of the afternoon.
• The response from Rahmatgonj MFS: The home side's goal lifted the crowd and briefly shifted momentum, showing the kind of fighting spirit that has kept them competitive in the competition.
• The decisive finish: Chattogram's third goal effectively ended the contest, arriving at a moment when Rahmatgonj MFS were pushing bodies forward in search of an equaliser.

Tactical Story

Rahmatgonj MFS lined up hoping to use their home advantage to control possession, but they were repeatedly turned over in central areas. Chattogram City FC's midfield worked as a compact unit, closing down passing lanes and then springing forward with numbers. The 3-1 result is a testament to how effectively the visitors converted their chances.

For Rahmatgonj MFS, the defeat highlights familiar problems: a tendency to leave space behind the full-backs and a difficulty in matching the intensity of the stronger sides in the Bangladesh Federation Cup. Their consolation goal, however, showed that they carry a genuine attacking threat when they commit players forward.

Standout Performers

Chattogram City FC's forward line deserves credit for the ruthlessness that produced three goals on the road, while their goalkeeper and central defenders handled the late aerial bombardment from Rahmatgonj MFS with reasonable assurance. Rahmatgonj MFS's best moments came from their wide players, who repeatedly tried to stretch the Chattogram defence and create crossing opportunities.

Group Standings and Season Impact

This 3-1 win gives Chattogram City FC a valuable boost in the Bangladesh Federation Cup group table, adding three points and a healthy goal difference to their campaign. For Rahmatgonj MFS, the loss leaves them needing a strong response in their remaining fixtures if they are to keep their knockout-stage ambitions alive.

Matches like this one underline why the Bangladesh Federation Cup remains one of the most competitive cup competitions in the country. With every group game carrying knockout-level weight, teams such as Chattogram City FC know that away wins of this quality can define an entire tournament run, while sides like Rahmatgonj MFS must regroup quickly before their next fixture.
