Real du Faso and Majestic FC shared the points in a 1-1 draw in the Burkina Faso Division 1 on 25 October 2026, with a late equaliser denying Real du Faso a home victory.

Match overview

Real du Faso began the match with purpose, pressing high and forcing Majestic FC into early mistakes. The home side’s energy was rewarded before half-time, but Majestic FC responded with a more assertive second-half display and found a deserved leveller in the closing stages.

The contest was played at a good tempo, with both teams showing attacking intent. Real du Faso looked dangerous down the flanks, while Majestic FC relied on quick combinations through the middle. The draw leaves both sides with positives, though the home team will rue missed chances to put the game beyond reach.

Key moments

Real du Faso took the lead in the 36th minute when Ousmane Traoré timed his run into the box perfectly and finished from close range. The goal gave the home side confidence, and they controlled much of the remaining first-half play without adding to their advantage.

Majestic FC equalised in the 78th minute through Issouf Ouattara, whose powerful strike from the edge of the area beat the goalkeeper. The goal came after a sustained spell of pressure, with Majestic FC committing more bodies forward and forcing Real du Faso deeper.

Tactical story

Real du Faso set up with a balanced shape and looked to dominate possession in midfield. Their wide players provided width, but the final delivery was often hurried. As the game wore on, the home side dropped deeper in an attempt to protect their lead, inviting pressure from Majestic FC.

Majestic FC’s second-half adjustments were key. They pushed their midfield higher, increased the tempo of their passing, and began to win more second balls. The equaliser was a reward for their persistence, though Real du Faso will feel they should have managed the game better in the final 15 minutes.

Standout performers

• Ousmane Traoré (Real du Faso): Scored the opening goal and linked play effectively in the final third.
• Issouf Ouattara (Majestic FC): Delivered the equaliser and was a constant threat from midfield.
• Real du Faso’s goalkeeper: Made several important stops before being beaten late on.
• Majestic FC’s defence: Recovered from a shaky start and kept Real du Faso quiet for long stretches.

Season impact

The point keeps both teams moving in the Burkina Faso Division 1 table, but Real du Faso will be disappointed to surrender a lead at home. Majestic FC can take encouragement from their second-half response and will look to build on the performance in their next outing. In a competitive domestic league, away draws against strong opposition often prove valuable.
