RCS Onhaye slipped to a convincing 4-2 home defeat against Charleroi B in the Belgian First Amateur Division on Sunday evening, as the visiting reserves produced a ruthless attacking display to take all three points. The match, played on 4 October 2026, saw Charleroi B score four times to underline their growing reputation as one of the most dangerous young sides in the division.

Match Overview

From the opening whistle, Charleroi B looked sharper and more purposeful. Their high pressing forced Onhaye into a series of early errors, and the visitors took the lead inside the first quarter of an hour. Onhaye responded well, equalising midway through the first half through a well-worked move down the right flank. However, Charleroi B restored their advantage before the break and never looked back. Two further goals in the second half sealed the win, rendering a late Onhaye consolation nothing more than a footnote.

Key Moments

• 12' – Charleroi B open the scoring: A quick turnover in midfield allowed the visitors' striker to race clear and finish low past the Onhaye goalkeeper.
• 34' – Onhaye equalise: The home side's persistence paid off when a cross from the left was headed home at the near post.
• 45+2' – Charleroi B retake the lead: A curling free-kick from the edge of the box found the top corner, a real blow for Onhaye just before half-time.
• 58' – Third goal for Charleroi B: A slick counter-attack ended with a composed finish into the bottom corner.
• 72' – Fourth goal: The visitors' No.9 completed a brace with a powerful strike from inside the area.
• 88' – Onhaye pull one back: A late consolation goal from a corner gave the scoreline a slightly flattering look for the hosts.

Tactical Story

Charleroi B set up in a fluid 4-3-3 that prioritised quick transitions and aggressive pressing. Their midfield trio consistently won the second balls, allowing the front three to isolate Onhaye's full-backs. Onhaye, by contrast, tried to build patiently from the back but were repeatedly undone by their opponents' intensity. The home side's defensive line sat too high at times, and Charleroi B exploited that space with direct passes in behind. Onhaye's manager switched to a back three after the hour mark, but by then the game was already slipping away.

Standout Players

Charleroi B's centre-forward was the undisputed man of the match, scoring twice and causing problems all evening with his movement. The visiting captain in midfield controlled the tempo, while the left winger's direct running earned him two assists. For Onhaye, their right winger was a constant threat and grabbed the equaliser, but too many of his teammates struggled to match Charleroi B's physicality.

Season Impact

This result lifts Charleroi B into the upper half of the Belgian First Amateur Division table, strengthening their claim for a promotion play-off spot. For RCS Onhaye, the defeat leaves them hovering dangerously close to the relegation zone, and the manner of the loss — conceding four at home — will be a major concern for the coaching staff. Onhaye must tighten up defensively quickly, while Charleroi B will take real confidence from a dominant away performance.
