Match overview

The game began at 20:00 on 23 October 2026, and Vitória Salvador Women wasted little time in asserting control. Their movement in the final third was too quick and too precise for Galicia EC, who struggled to cope with the pace of the attacks and the overloads out wide. By half-time the contest was already heavily tilted in Vitória’s favour, and the home side continued to pile on the goals after the break.

Galicia EC (W) worked hard but were overwhelmed for long periods. Vitória’s pressing forced turnovers in dangerous areas, and their finishing was clinical throughout the night.

Tactical story

Vitória Salvador Women controlled the match through high pressing and quick ball circulation. Their full-backs pushed high, stretching Galicia EC’s defensive line and creating space for the forwards to attack the box. The midfield won most of the second balls, allowing Vitória to sustain pressure for long spells.

Galicia EC tried to defend in a compact block, but once the first goal went in, the shape became increasingly difficult to maintain. Vitória’s movement between the lines was excellent, and their decision-making in the final third was sharp throughout.

Standout performers

Larissa Almeida was the standout with three goals and constant movement that unsettled the Galicia defence. Camila Santos added two goals and an assist, while Renata Lima and Juliana Rocha also made important contributions. For Galicia EC, the goalkeeper made several saves to prevent an even heavier defeat.

Table impact

The 7-0 win is a major boost to Vitória Salvador Women’s goal difference and confidence in the BC B W. Galicia EC (W) will need to address their defensive organisation quickly, especially ahead of their next away fixture. Vitória, by contrast, will be eager to build on one of their most complete performances of the campaign.
