SK Furstenfeld 5-2 UFC Fehring: Hosts Win Seven-Goal Austrian Landesliga Thriller

SK Furstenfeld produced a ruthless attacking display to beat UFC Fehring 5-2 in the Austrian Landesliga on 18 October 2026. The 16:30 fixture delivered seven goals, with the home side’s width, set-piece quality and finishing proving too much for Fehring over the course of the afternoon.

Match overview

SK Furstenfeld started brightly and quickly established a two-goal advantage, attacking with purpose down the flanks and causing problems from crosses. UFC Fehring responded before half-time to reduce the deficit and briefly suggested they could make a contest of it. However, Furstenfeld restored their cushion after the break and then pulled away again after Fehring scored a second consolation goal.

The hosts managed the final stages well, controlling possession and using the space that opened up as Fehring pushed forward. Two more goals rounded off a convincing attacking performance and gave SK Furstenfeld a result that will boost both confidence and goal difference in the Landesliga table.

Key moments

• Early Furstenfeld lead: A dangerous cross from the right created the opening goal, with the home forward finishing at the back post.
• Second goal from a set piece: SK Furstenfeld doubled their advantage when a corner was only partially cleared and the follow-up was converted.
• Fehring pull one back: The visitors responded with a well-placed finish after a quick move through midfield.
• Furstenfeld restore control: The hosts scored early in the second half to make it 3-1 and settle any nerves.
• Late flurry: Fehring made it 3-2, but SK Furstenfeld responded with two more goals to seal a comprehensive win.

Tactical story

SK Furstenfeld’s attacking plan was clear: stretch UFC Fehring with wide play, deliver early crosses and attack the second ball around the penalty area. Their midfielders supported the front line aggressively, and the home side consistently won the physical duels in the final third. Set pieces also proved a productive route to goal.

UFC Fehring had spells of threat on the counter and scored twice, but they struggled to contain Furstenfeld’s wide runners and were repeatedly exposed when trying to play out from the back. Once the hosts regained a two-goal cushion in the second half, the match swung decisively in their favour.

Standout performers

SK Furstenfeld’s centre-forward led the line impressively, holding up play and finishing with confidence. The wide midfielders were also influential, creating chances with direct running and precise deliveries. For UFC Fehring, the midfield kept working until the end and helped create the two goals, but the defensive unit faced a difficult afternoon against relentless pressure.

Season impact

The three points give SK Furstenfeld a significant boost in the Austrian Landesliga and a healthy addition to their goal difference. UFC Fehring will take encouragement from their two goals but will need to improve their defensive shape and handling of crosses after conceding five times. For Furstenfeld, the result is a statement of attacking intent and a strong platform for the next round of fixtures.
