ASV Neudorf/Parndorf vs SV Eberau: Eberau Come From Behind to Win 2-1

SV Eberau produced a determined second-half comeback to beat ASV Neudorf/Parndorf 2-1 in their Austrian Landesliga fixture on 18 October 2026. The visitors trailed at one stage but responded with two goals after the break, turning a difficult evening into an important away victory.

ASV Neudorf/Parndorf started the stronger of the two teams, pressing high and forcing Eberau into a number of early errors. The home side’s energy was rewarded when they took the lead, and for a period they looked capable of controlling the match. Eberau, however, remained patient and gradually worked their way back into the contest.

Match Overview

The opening goal gave Neudorf/Parndorf confidence, and they continued to attack with purpose down the flanks. Eberau’s goalkeeper was called into action more than once as the home side sought a second goal that would have given them breathing space. The visitors survived that pressure and began to find more joy in midfield as the first half wore on.

After the interval, Eberau looked like a different team. They pressed with greater intensity, moved the ball forward more quickly and started to create clear chances. The equaliser arrived early in the second half and changed the momentum of the game. With the scores level, both sides pushed forward, but it was Eberau who found the decisive goal in the closing stages.

Key Moments

• Home breakthrough: ASV Neudorf/Parndorf took the lead after a spell of sustained pressure and a well-placed finish.
• Eberau equaliser: The visitors levelled early in the second half, finishing off a quick attacking move.
• Winning goal: Eberau completed the turnaround with a late strike that proved too strong for the home goalkeeper.
• Late defending: Neudorf/Parndorf pushed for a second equaliser, but Eberau’s defence held firm in the final minutes.

Tactical Story

Neudorf/Parndorf’s approach was based on high energy and quick forward play. They pressed aggressively in the first half and looked to win the ball back close to Eberau’s goal, which created several promising moments. However, that intensity dropped after the break, and Eberau took advantage by finding more space in midfield and turning defence into attack more efficiently.

Eberau’s second-half performance was built on better ball retention and smarter movement off the ball. Their midfielders began to dictate the tempo, and the wide players stretched the home defence, creating room for the equaliser and then the winner. Once ahead, Eberau defended with discipline, clearing crosses and protecting the central areas to secure the three points.

Standout Performers and Season Impact

Eberau’s midfield engine was central to the comeback, driving forward and linking play with composure. The goalscorer’s movement in the final third caused problems throughout the second half, while the goalkeeper made important saves when the visitors were still trailing. For Neudorf/Parndorf, the early goal was a bright moment, but they will be disappointed by their failure to manage the game after taking the lead.

The win gives SV Eberau a valuable boost in the Austrian Landesliga standings and underlines their ability to grind out results away from home. ASV Neudorf/Parndorf remain with plenty to work on, particularly in terms of maintaining concentration and control after conceding, but their first-half display showed that they can compete strongly in the division.
