Berazategui delivered the most emphatic performance of the round, dismantling Defensores de Cambaceres 3-0 in Argentine Group C on 13 October 2026. Three goals, a clean sheet and total control — a result that will be remembered as one of their best displays of the season.

Match Overview

From the opening minutes it was clear which side had come to play. Berazategui pressed high, moved the ball quickly and created chances at a steady rate, while Defensores de Cambaceres struggled to establish any rhythm or hold possession in the opposition half. By the time the second goal arrived, the outcome was no longer in serious doubt.

The three-goal margin was fully deserved, and the clean sheet made it a complete team performance rather than simply a good attacking one.

Key Moments

• The breakthrough: Berazategui's pressure told early, with a slick combination down the left ending in a confident finish inside the area.
• Doubling the lead: A second goal before the interval effectively ended the contest, coming from a well-timed run into the box and a first-time strike.
• The third: After the break, Berazategui added a third with a header from a corner, underlining their dominance from set pieces.
• The defensive stand: Cambaceres' only clear chance came in the second half and was blocked bravely by a defender, preserving the shutout.

Tactical Story

Berazategui's shape was aggressive from the first whistle. Their front three pressed the opposition centre-backs relentlessly, forcing long balls that were comfortably dealt with by a dominant defensive pairing. That high press also created the turnovers that led directly to two of the three goals.

In possession, they were patient and purposeful, switching play from flank to flank to stretch a Cambaceres side that spent much of the match chasing the ball. The visitors' midfield was overrun, and with no reliable outlet, their attacking players were left isolated and starved of service.

Standout Performers

The goalscorers will take the headlines, and rightly so, but Berazategui's most impressive contributor was their central midfielder, who set the tempo of the game and delivered the corner that produced the third goal. The goalkeeper was largely a spectator, which is a testament to how well the defence performed in front of him.

What the Result Means

This is the kind of result that can define a season. A 3-0 home victory does wonders for goal difference, confidence and crowd support, and it sends a clear message to the rest of Group C that Berazategui are a serious threat. Their combination of high pressing and clinical finishing is difficult to contain when it clicks.

For Defensores de Cambaceres, it is a night to move past quickly. The defensive structure will need attention, particularly in transition, and the team will need to rediscover its attacking rhythm. The next fixture is an opportunity to respond immediately.
