Deportivo Laferrere Reserves 0-1 Deportivo Camioneros Reserves: Acosta Strike Settles Tight Reserve League Contest

Deportivo Camioneros Reserves claimed a hard-fought 1-0 away victory over Deportivo Laferrere Reserves in the Argentine Reserve League on September 24, 2026. Brian Acosta’s second-half goal proved the difference in a match that was short on clear chances but high on tactical discipline. Camioneros defended their lead with maturity and handed Laferrere a frustrating home defeat.

The result moves Deportivo Camioneros Reserves into a more promising position in the reserve standings, while Deportivo Laferrere Reserves are left to rue a night of possession without penetration.

Match Overview

Laferrere saw more of the ball, finishing with 58 percent possession, but they struggled to turn that control into meaningful shots. Camioneros sat in a compact 4-4-2 block, invited pressure, and looked to spring forward on the counter. The visitors had fewer shots, but they carried the greater cutting edge when it mattered.

Camioneros managed six shots to Laferrere’s 14, yet they put three of them on target and scored the only goal of the game. Laferrere’s 14 attempts yielded just four on target, a statistic that summed up their lack of precision in the final third.

Key Moments

• 18th minute: Laferrere’s first real chance fell to their captain, but his low drive was saved comfortably by Matías Ferreyra.
• 34th minute: Camioneros broke quickly through Acosta, whose shot from the right channel flashed wide of the far post.
• 52nd minute: Laferrere came closest to opening the scoring when a header from a corner struck the crossbar.
• 67th minute: Camioneros scored the winner. Acosta timed his run perfectly, met a low cross from the left, and guided the ball into the bottom corner.
• 84th minute: Laferrere pushed numbers forward, but Camioneros cleared a goalmouth scramble to preserve their clean sheet.

Tactical Story

Deportivo Laferrere Reserves lined up in a 4-3-3 and tried to build through the middle, but Camioneros’ midfield pair screened the space in front of the back four effectively. The hosts were forced into wide areas, where their crosses were met by a well-organised defence. Camioneros’ 4-4-2 shape was disciplined without the ball and direct with it, often looking for Acosta in the channels.

The winning goal was a perfect example of their game plan: a quick transition, a decisive ball into the box, and a striker arriving with conviction. After taking the lead, Camioneros dropped their lines slightly, absorbed pressure, and limited Laferrere to hopeful efforts from distance.

Standout Players

Brian Acosta was the match-winner, combining intelligent movement with a clinical finish. He was also Camioneros’ main outlet on the counter. Goalkeeper Matías Ferreyra produced a composed display, dealing with crosses and making a vital late save to deny Laferrere an equaliser.

For Laferrere, midfielder Ignacio Paredes tried to drive his team forward and created a few half-chances, while centre-back Gonzalo Herrera was strong in the air and made several important interceptions. However, the home side lacked a finishing touch on the night.

Season Impact

Deportivo Camioneros Reserves will take confidence from a disciplined away performance and a valuable clean sheet. The three points could prove crucial in the race for position in the Argentine Reserve League. Deportivo Laferrere Reserves, meanwhile, must address their attacking efficiency after a game in which they controlled large spells but failed to score.
