The game began with a high tempo, as both teams looked to assert themselves early. Tactical Story

Desamparados lined up in a 4-3-3 formation, with their wingers hugging the touchline to stretch the Rivadavia defence. Their midfield trio looked to dominate possession, but they often found themselves crowded out by a compact opponent. Sportivo Rivadavia San Juan set up in a 4-4-2, prioritising defensive solidity and quick breaks. Their two strikers worked hard to press the Desamparados defence, and their midfielders dropped deep to create a wall in front of the back four.

The key battle was in the centre of the park, where Desamparados' creative players struggled to find space. Rivadavia's game plan was clear: soak up pressure and hit on the counter. It nearly worked to perfection, but a lack of composure in the final third cost them a potential winning goal. Desamparados, meanwhile, will rue their inability to convert possession into clear chances.
