Match at a glance

• Fixture: Fomento Los Hornos vs Setia FC
• Competition: ARFC
• Result: Fomento Los Hornos 4-0 Setia FC
• Key man: Nicolas Ferreyra

Fast start sets the tone

Fomento Los Hornos took the lead after only six minutes when Nicolas Ferreyra found space at the near post and turned in a low cross. The early goal settled the home side and forced Setia FC onto the back foot. Fomento doubled their advantage in the 23rd minute through Tomas Benitez, whose shot from the edge of the area found the bottom corner after a short corner routine.

Setia FC tried to respond by pressing higher, but Fomento’s midfield rotated well and consistently played through the first line of pressure. The home side created several more chances before the break and went into half-time with a deserved two-goal cushion.

Second half leaves no doubt

Any hope of a Setia FC comeback was ended three minutes after the restart. Ferreyra scored his second of the match in the 48th minute, finishing off a quick counterattack with a composed strike. From that point, Fomento managed the game with confidence, keeping possession and forcing Setia FC to chase shadows.

The fourth goal arrived in the 81st minute when Lautaro Sosa capped a flowing team move with a neat finish. It was a fitting end to a performance built on movement, precision and attacking intent. Setia FC never found a way to disrupt Fomento’s rhythm and were limited to a few half-chances from distance.

Tactical story

Fomento Los Hornos controlled the match through quick ball circulation and intelligent off-the-ball movement. Their midfield created overloads in wide areas, while the front line stretched Setia FC’s defence and created space between the lines. The home side also pressed effectively after losing possession, winning the ball back quickly and preventing Setia FC from building momentum.

Setia FC’s defensive shape was too easily pulled apart. They struggled to track runners from midfield and left gaps at the back post, which Fomento exploited repeatedly. Going forward, the visitors lacked a reliable outlet and were often forced into hopeful passes.

Standout performers

Ferreyra was the standout with two goals and a constant threat behind the defence. Benitez dictated the tempo in midfield and scored a fine second goal, while Sosa’s late strike rewarded a strong all-round display. Fomento’s goalkeeper also deserves credit for a clean sheet, even though he was rarely tested.

What the result means

The win gives Fomento Los Hornos a significant boost in the ARFC standings and adds to their confidence in front of goal. The manner of the victory will please the coaching staff, especially the balance between attacking ambition and defensive control. For Setia FC, the defeat is a clear lesson in the demands of the competition, and they will need a much more compact performance in their next outing.
