The ALG U20 league delivered another compelling chapter on Friday, 9 October 2026, as JS Kabylie U20 secured a commanding 2-0 victory over CR Belouizdad U20 at their home ground. The young Canaries controlled the tempo from the early exchanges, took their chances when they arrived, and defended their lead with maturity beyond their years to claim all three points in a fixture that has become one of the most closely watched rivalries in Algerian youth football.

The result strengthens JS Kabylie U20's position in the upper reaches of the ALG U20 standings and hands CR Belouizdad U20 a frustrating away defeat in a match where they enjoyed spells of possession but could not convert pressure into goals.

Match Overview

From the opening whistle, JS Kabylie U20 set the tone with an aggressive high press, denying CR Belouizdad U20 the comfortable build-up play their midfielders prefer. The hosts pressed in coordinated waves, forcing turnovers in the middle third and launching quick transitions towards the channels.

CR Belouizdad U20 gradually settled and created a few half-chances of their own, but the home defence held a disciplined line, and the goalkeeper was rarely tested with anything truly dangerous. The visitors' best moments came from wide areas, yet crosses into the box were repeatedly cleared by a compact back four.

Key Moments

The breakthrough came as the hosts turned territorial dominance into a tangible advantage. A well-worked move down the right flank ended with a low delivery into the penalty area, and the finish was calm and clinical — exactly the kind of composed play that separates a top academy side from the rest of the division.

The second goal proved decisive in killing the contest. After CR Belouizdad U20 pushed bodies forward in search of an equaliser, JS Kabylie U20 won the ball back in midfield and broke at speed. The counter-attack was finished with precision, doubling the lead and effectively ending the visitors' resistance.

Between the goals, CR Belouizdad U20 had their best spell. They moved the ball quicker, drew fouls in promising positions, and forced a couple of set pieces, but the hosts defended their box with real determination, blocking shots and clearing danger without hesitation.

Tactical Story

JS Kabylie U20 lined up with an energetic, front-foot approach built on winning second balls and attacking immediately after regaining possession. Their midfield trio worked relentlessly, closing passing lanes and ensuring CR Belouizdad U20's creative players had little room to operate between the lines.

CR Belouizdad U20, by contrast, favoured patient possession and positional play. When they managed to circulate the ball cleanly, they looked dangerous, but the final third proved their undoing: too many moves ended with a rushed shot or an overcooked cross. Their full-backs pushed high in the second half in an attempt to overload the flanks, which only widened the spaces available for the home side's counter-attacks.

The defensive organisation of JS Kabylie U20 was the standout feature of the night. Keeping a clean sheet against a side of CR Belouizdad U20's quality is no small achievement and reflects both the discipline of the back line and the collective work rate of the team ahead of them.

Standout Performers

• JS Kabylie U20 goalkeeper: Commanded his area confidently, dealt with crosses cleanly and preserved the shutout with a couple of important saves.
• JS Kabylie U20 central defence: Read the game superbly, stepping up to catch the visitors offside and winning the majority of aerial duels.
• JS Kabylie U20 midfield: The engine room of the performance — winning tackles, recycling possession and launching the counters that produced both goals.
• CR Belouizdad U20 wide players: The visitors' most consistent threat, repeatedly taking on their markers and delivering into the box, though without the final product to match.

Head-to-Head and Season Impact

This fixture has developed into a genuine youth-football rivalry, with both academies regularly producing players who go on to feature at senior level. A 2-0 win of this nature — built on organisation, pressing and ruthless finishing — will give JS Kabylie U20 significant confidence for the matches ahead.

For CR Belouizdad U20, the defeat is a reminder of how punishing the ALG U20 division can be. They showed enough in possession to suggest better results are coming,
