Tactical story

CR Belouizdad U20’s 4-2-3-1 shape gave them control in central areas, with Khelifi linking midfield and attack effectively. Their high press forced JS El Biar U20 into hurried passes and long clearances, which Belouizdad’s defence dealt with comfortably. The visitors also used width well, stretching El Biar’s back line before attacking the spaces created between the full-backs and centre-backs.

JS El Biar U20 showed flashes of quality, particularly in the opening stages of the second half, but they could not sustain pressure. Their goal came from a good wide delivery, yet defensive lapses allowed Belouizdad to reassert control almost immediately. The home side’s midfield struggled to track runners, and Belouizdad’s direct running in behind proved difficult to contain.

Standout performers

Benali was the clear attacking catalyst for CR Belouizdad U20, scoring twice and constantly stretching the El Biar defence. Khelifi dictated the tempo in midfield and added an important goal of his own, while Merzoug’s late finish capped a strong all-round team display. For JS El Biar U20, Benkhelifa was the brightest performer, taking his goal well and working hard despite limited service.

Season impact

The 4-1 win gives CR Belouizdad U20 an important boost in the ALG U20 standings and reinforces their credentials as a side capable of challenging at the top end of the table. For JS El Biar U20, the result is a reminder of the work needed defensively, especially against teams that press aggressively and attack with speed. Belouizdad will look to carry the momentum into their next fixture, while El Biar must regroup quickly and find a more compact response.
