USM Blida claimed a comfortable 3-0 victory over NA Hussein Dey in the Algerian Ligue Professionnelle 2 on 17 October 2026, with a polished performance that combined defensive solidity with clinical finishing. The home side controlled the game from start to finish and were fully deserving of the three points.

Match Overview

USM Blida opened the scoring in the 22nd minute when Saadi headed home a precise corner from the right. The goal settled any early nerves and allowed the hosts to dictate the rhythm. NA Hussein Dey struggled to create meaningful chances, and their best efforts were limited to speculative shots from distance.

The second goal arrived in the 56th minute, Benslimane finishing a rebound after the away goalkeeper had parried a fierce drive. Tactical Story

USM Blida set up in a disciplined 4-4-2, with the midfield four pressing collectively and denying NA Hussein Dey space in central areas. The full-backs were disciplined, tucking in when needed but also providing width in attack. Set pieces proved a potent weapon, with the first goal coming from a well-worked corner routine.

NA Hussein Dey’s 4-3-3 lacked penetration. Their wingers were largely anonymous, and the lone striker was isolated against the home centre-backs. The visitors improved slightly after half-time, but USM Blida’s second goal killed any momentum and allowed the hosts to manage the game comfortably.

Standout Players

Saadi was excellent in both boxes, winning headers and scoring the opener. Benslimane was a constant threat with his runs from midfield, and Ould Ali capped a lively cameo with the third goal. For NA Hussein Dey, the goalkeeper made several saves to keep the scoreline respectable.

Season Impact

The win strengthens USM Blida’s position in the Ligue Professionnelle 2 standings and provides a platform to build on. NA Hussein Dey will need to address their attacking shortcomings if they are to climb the table. The result highlights USM Blida’s potential as a side capable of challenging for promotion, while Hussein Dey must regroup quickly.
