NRB Teleghma earned a hard-fought 1-0 home win over Beni Oulbane in the Algerian Ligue Professionnelle 2 on 24 October 2026, with a second-half goal settling a match that required patience and persistence. The home side controlled long spells of the contest and were finally rewarded for their pressure with the decisive breakthrough.

Match overview

NRB Teleghma began the game with intent, moving the ball quickly and looking to stretch Beni Oulbane through the wide areas. The visitors defended in a compact block and made life difficult, closing down space in midfield and forcing Teleghma to circulate the ball around the edge of the final third. Clear chances were scarce in the opening period.

After the interval, Teleghma raised the intensity. They pushed their full-backs higher, increased the number of crosses into the box and won a series of corners. Beni Oulbane remained resilient but began to tire under the weight of sustained pressure, and the home side eventually found the goal their dominance deserved.

Key moments

Teleghma’s best first-half opportunity came from a shot outside the area that clipped the top of the crossbar. Beni Oulbane threatened on a rare counterattack, but the home goalkeeper was alert to the danger. The breakthrough arrived in the second half when a midfielder arrived late in the box to meet a cut-back and guide the ball home.

Beni Oulbane responded with a spell of pressure and forced a couple of corners, but Teleghma’s defence held firm. A late header from a free kick drifted wide, and the home side saw out the closing minutes to secure the clean sheet.

Tactical story

NRB Teleghma’s game plan was built on control and width. Their wingers stayed high, the full-backs overlapped, and the midfield worked to recycle possession quickly. That approach made them vulnerable to counters, but the back line dealt with those moments well.

Beni Oulbane’s compact 4-4-2 shape frustrated Teleghma for long periods. The visitors defended narrow and forced play wide, trusting their centre-backs to handle crosses. In the end, the sheer volume of deliveries and Teleghma’s late runs into the box proved decisive.

Standout performers

The Teleghma midfielder who scored the winner was the game’s outstanding player, combining energy with intelligent late runs. The home goalkeeper also made an important first-half save. For Beni Oulbane, the centre-back pairing produced a brave display despite the defeat, winning numerous aerial duels and blocking shots.

Table and season impact

The three points lift NRB Teleghma’s confidence and reward their patience in a match that could easily have slipped away. Beni Oulbane leave with credit for their defensive organisation but will rue their inability to hold out. In the Algerian Ligue Professionnelle 2, narrow home wins of this kind often prove crucial in the race for position and momentum.
