NA Hussein Dey 3-0 El Bayadh: Comfortable Home Win for the Algiers Giants

NA Hussein Dey secured a routine 3-0 victory over El Bayadh at the Stade 20 Août 1955 on October 13, 2026, continuing their push for promotion from the Algerian Ligue Professionnelle 2. The home side were dominant from start to finish, scoring twice in the first half before adding a third after the break to seal all three points.

Match Overview

NA Hussein Dey took the lead on 18 minutes when captain Sofiane Yaya fired home from the edge of the box after a neat lay-off from strike partner Mohamed Lamine. The hosts doubled their advantage on 34 minutes through a towering header from center-back Abdelkader Hamza, who rose highest to meet a corner. El Bayadh struggled to create anything of note, with their best chance falling to striker Yacine Bouzid, who blazed over from close range just before half-time.

The second half was a controlled affair. Hussein Dey kept possession well and added a third on 67 minutes when substitute Riad Benayad finished off a flowing counter-attack. El Bayadh never looked like mounting a comeback, and the home side could have scored more, with Lamine hitting the post late on. The clean sheet was the perfect end to a professional performance.

Tactical Story

Hussein Dey set up in a 4-2-3-1, with Yaya pulling the strings in the No. 10 role. Their full-backs pushed high, pinning El Bayadh's wingers back and creating a numerical advantage in midfield. El Bayadh tried to press but were often bypassed by quick combinations. Defensively, Hussein Dey were organized and disciplined, with Hamza and his partner keeping a high line that El Bayadh's forwards could not exploit. The visitors' midfield struggled to cope with the intensity, and their frustration showed in a series of late fouls.

Standout Players

Sofiane Yaya (NA Hussein Dey): The captain led by example with a goal and an assist, dictating play throughout.

Abdelkader Hamza (NA Hussein Dey): Solid at the back and a threat from set-pieces, his header was the highlight of a commanding defensive display.

Riad Benayad (NA Hussein Dey): The substitute made an immediate impact, scoring with his first touch.

Season Impact

This win keeps NA Hussein Dey in the promotion playoff places, level on points with ASM Oran and just behind the league leaders. Their goal difference is improving, and they look like serious contenders for a return to the Algerian Ligue 1. El Bayadh, meanwhile, remain in mid-table obscurity, but their lack of cutting edge is a concern. They have now gone three matches without scoring, and their coach will be looking for a response in their next fixture against ESM Kolea.

NA Hussein Dey travel to ASM Oran next in what promises to be a thrilling top-of-the-table clash.
