Tactical Story

JSM Skikda used a 4-3-3 formation and pressed NC Magra high, forcing errors in the visitors’ build-up play. The midfield trio dominated the first hour, winning second balls and feeding the wide forwards. After going 2-0 up, Skikda sat deeper and invited pressure, which allowed Magra back into the game. The hosts survived a nervy final ten minutes, but their defensive discipline and a crucial save in the 90th minute preserved the win.

Standout Players

JSM Skikda’s central midfielder was the man of the match, scoring the second goal and controlling the rhythm of the game. The left winger was a constant outlet, while the goalkeeper made two important saves late on. For NC Magra, the substitute forward made an impact with the goal and almost created an equaliser, but the team’s slow start ultimately cost them.

League Impact

The three points move JSM Skikda into a stronger position in the Algerian Ligue Professionnelle 2 standings and give them a useful cushion in the mid-table battle. NC Magra remain within touching distance but will be frustrated by a performance that only came to life in the final 20 minutes. With home form likely to decide the promotion and relegation battles, this was an important step for Skikda’s season.
