JS Jijel 0-0 JS Azazga — JS Jijel and JS Azazga cancelled each other out in a goalless draw in the Algerian Ligue Professionnelle 2 on October 3, 2026. The all-JS clash produced plenty of commitment and tactical discipline but no goals, as both defences came out on top in a tense league encounter.

Match Overview

The first half was largely a midfield battle. JS Jijel tried to use the width of the pitch to create openings, while JS Azazga sat deep and looked to spring counter-attacks. Chances were at a premium, with the two goalkeepers rarely tested before the break. The closest either side came was a free-kick that was tipped over the crossbar.

The second half opened up slightly. JS Jijel pushed more players forward and won a series of corners, but JS Azazga defended them well. At the other end, a quick break gave JS Azazga a shooting opportunity, but the effort flashed wide of the post. A late goal was ruled out for offside, ensuring the points were shared.

Tactical Story

Both teams prioritised defensive solidity. JS Jijel tried to dominate possession, but JS Azazga’s compact block made it difficult to find space between the lines. The visitors were happy to defend in numbers and then look for long balls over the top. It was an effective plan, even if it limited their own attacking opportunities.

JS Jijel’s best moments came from set pieces and crosses into the box. However, they lacked a finishing touch in the final third. JS Azazga, meanwhile, defended with concentration and discipline, securing a valuable away point.

Standout Players

The two goalkeepers deserved credit for their handling and command of the area. JS Jijel’s centre-backs were strong in the air, while JS Azazga’s midfielders worked tirelessly to break up play. The disallowed goal was a reminder of how close JS Azazga came to snatching all three points.

What It Means

Both clubs add a point to their Algerian Ligue Professionnelle 2 tally. For JS Jijel, it is a frustrating home draw after enjoying the better of the territorial play. JS Azazga will be happier with the clean sheet and the away result. The draw highlights the competitive nature of the league, where fine margins often decide outcomes.
