Harrach edged a tight, hard-fought contest against ASM Oran, winning 1-0 in the Algerian Ligue Professionnelle 2. In a match short on clear-cut chances but long on commitment, a single goal proved enough to separate two well-matched sides.

Match Overview

Both teams approached the fixture with caution, aware of the importance of avoiding defeat in a league where points are precious. Harrach, playing at home, gradually grew into the game and began to assert themselves, while ASM Oran looked to frustrate and hit on the counter.

The Algerian Ligue Professionnelle 2 is known for its physical, tactically disciplined football, and this encounter was a perfect illustration, with space at a premium and every duel fiercely contested.

Key Moments

• The decisive goal: Harrach found the breakthrough that ultimately decided the match, converting their most promising attack.
• Oran's response: ASM Oran pushed forward in search of an equaliser but struggled to create genuine clear chances.
• Defensive stand: Harrach's backline held firm under late pressure to protect the lead.
• Final whistle: The hosts saw out the closing minutes to claim all three points.

Tactical Story

Harrach's game plan centred on controlling midfield and building patiently, looking for the moment when Oran's defensive shape would break. Their persistence paid off with the goal, after which they smartly shifted to protecting their advantage.

ASM Oran, for their part, defended resolutely for long spells and attempted to spring quick counter-attacks. However, they lacked the final ball needed to unlock a disciplined Harrach defence, and their attacking threat faded as the game wore on.

Standout Performers

Harrach's goalscorer will take the plaudits, but the defensive unit deserves equal credit for a shutout in a tight game. The goalkeeper's handling under pressure helped preserve the lead. For ASM Oran, the midfielders worked tirelessly, but the team's attacking players were largely kept quiet.

Season Impact

Three points in such a narrow fixture can be worth more than the margin suggests. Harrach gain valuable momentum and confidence, while ASM Oran are left to rue a missed opportunity to take something from an away trip. In the Algerian Ligue Professionnelle 2, results like this often shape the mood of an entire month.
