AS Khroub and NRB Teleghma played out an entertaining 2-2 draw in the Algerian Ligue Professionnelle 2 on 9 October 2026, with both sides sharing the points after a back-and-forth contest at the Stade Abed Hamdani. The result leaves both teams still searching for consistency in the early stages of the campaign.

Match Overview

The visitors, NRB Teleghma, started brightly and took the lead inside the first 20 minutes with a well-worked move down the right. AS Khroub responded strongly, equalising before half-time through a towering header from a corner. The second half was equally open, with Teleghma restoring their advantage only for Khroub to level again with a stunning free-kick. Neither side could find a late winner, despite chances at both ends.

Key Moments

• 18' – NRB Teleghma open the scoring with a low shot into the bottom corner after a neat one-two.
• 39' – AS Khroub equalise as their centre-back powers a header past the keeper from a corner.
• 57' – Teleghma regain the lead, capitalising on a defensive error to slot home from close range.

• 88' – Both teams have late chances, but the goalkeepers stand firm to ensure a share of the spoils.

Tactical Story

AS Khroub deployed a 4-3-3 formation, looking to dominate possession through their midfield trio. NRB Teleghma, by contrast, sat deep in a 4-5-1 and looked to hit on the break with pace. The hosts struggled to break down Teleghma's defensive block in open play, relying heavily on set-pieces for their goals. Teleghma's discipline was impressive for large spells, but they dropped too deep after taking the lead, inviting pressure. In the end, a draw was a fair reflection of a balanced contest.

Standout Players

AS Khroub's set-piece specialist was instrumental, delivering the corner for the first goal and scoring the second with a brilliant free-kick. Their centre-back also impressed with his aerial dominance. For NRB Teleghma, the lone striker caused problems all afternoon with his movement and hold-up play, while their goalkeeper made a crucial double save late on to preserve the draw.

League Table Impact

Both sides remain in the middle reaches of the Algerian Ligue Professionnelle 2 standings, with this draw doing little to boost their promotion hopes. AS Khroub will feel they should have won given their territorial dominance, while NRB Teleghma will take confidence from a solid away performance. The race for promotion remains wide open.
