Teuta Durres 0-0 KS Elbasani ended in a stalemate in the Albanian Super league on 25 October 2026, as neither side could find a breakthrough at Niko Dovana Stadium. It was a match of few clear-cut chances, disciplined defending and a strong midfield battle, with both goalkeepers called upon to preserve their clean sheets.

Match overview

Teuta Durres enjoyed more possession in the first half and tried to build attacks through their midfield, but KS Elbasani defended with organisation and patience. The visitors sat compact, limited space in behind and looked to threaten on the counter. Teuta’s best moments came from set pieces and crosses into the box, but the final ball was often lacking.

The second half opened up slightly as both teams pushed for a winner. Elbasani had a few promising breaks, while Teuta increased the tempo and forced several corners. Still, neither side could produce the moment of quality needed to settle the contest. The 0-0 scoreline reflected the balance of play and the defensive discipline on show.

Key moments

• Teuta Durres created the first real chance with a header from a corner that went wide.
• KS Elbasani threatened on the break, forcing the home goalkeeper into a low save.
• A Teuta goal was ruled out for offside after a quick attacking move.
• Both goalkeepers made important stops in the final 20 minutes to keep the game level.

Tactical story

Teuta Durres’ approach was patient and possession-based, but they struggled to break down a well-drilled Elbasani defence. The home side’s midfielders looked to create overloads in wide areas, yet the final delivery was often cut out. Elbasani, meanwhile, defended in a compact block and used quick transitions to relieve pressure.

The tactical battle made for a tense contest rather than a free-flowing one. Teuta pushed their full-backs forward in the second half, but Elbasani’s midfielders worked hard to cover the spaces. As the game wore on, both sides seemed wary of conceding the decisive goal, and the match ended with a point apiece.

Standout performers

Teuta Durres’ goalkeeper was alert throughout and made a crucial save late on to deny Elbasani a winning goal. Their central defender also produced a commanding display, winning headers and reading danger well. In midfield, Teuta’s captain kept the team organised and tried to drive them forward.

For KS Elbasani, the goalkeeper was equally important, handling crosses confidently and making a strong stop in the second half. Their defensive unit worked tirelessly, while the centre-forward provided a useful outlet on the counter. The visitors will be pleased with their clean sheet, even if they lacked a cutting edge in the final third.

What the point means

The 0-0 draw adds a point to both teams’ totals in the Albanian Super league standings. Teuta Durres will feel they did enough to win but will also take encouragement from another clean sheet. KS Elbasani, meanwhile, will value the defensive resilience they showed away from home.

In a league where fine margins often decide the table, avoiding defeat can be important. Both sides will now turn their attention to the next fixture, knowing that converting draws into wins will be key to climbing the standings. The match report may not include goals, but it highlighted the importance of organisation, goalkeeping and discipline in the Albanian Super league.
