Kastrioti Kruje 0-1 KS Iliria Fushe: Narrow Away Win Built on Discipline

KS Iliria Fushe claimed a hard-fought 1-0 away victory over Kastrioti Kruje in Albanian Division 1 on 24 October 2026. The 19:30 kickoff produced a tight contest, but a single goal was enough for Iliria to take all three points. Kastrioti pushed for an equalizer late on but could not find a way through a well-organized defensive unit.

Match Overview

The match was decided by Iliria’s ability to stay compact and take one of their few clear chances. Kastrioti Kruje had more of the ball, especially in the second half, but lacked the cutting edge needed to break down a disciplined opponent. Iliria’s defensive structure and game management in the final stages were the foundations of the result.

• Full-time result: Kastrioti Kruje 0-1 KS Iliria Fushe
• Competition: Albanian Division 1
• Date: 24 October 2026

Key Moments

The first half was cautious, with both sides prioritizing defensive solidity. Kastrioti Kruje tried to build through midfield, while Iliria looked to press at the right moments and attack quickly when possession was won. The decisive moment came in the second half, when Iliria broke the deadlock with a well-executed move that caught Kastrioti’s defence slightly out of position.

Kastrioti responded by pushing more players forward. They delivered crosses into the box and forced several corners, but Iliria’s goalkeeper and centre-backs stood firm. A late header and a shot from outside the area came close to an equalizer, but Iliria survived the pressure to secure a valuable away win.

Tactical Story

Iliria Fushe’s plan was clear: stay compact, protect the central corridor, and force Kastrioti into wide areas where crosses could be defended. Their midfield worked hard to close down space, and the back line maintained good shape throughout. When Iliria won the ball, they looked to move forward with purpose rather than overcommitting numbers.

Kastrioti’s buildup was patient but predictable at times. They moved the ball from side to side, yet struggled to find pockets between Iliria’s midfield and defence. The home side’s best chances came from set pieces and second balls, but Iliria’s defenders reacted first in most of those moments. Kastrioti’s late substitutions added urgency, though the equalizer never arrived.

Standout Performers

• KS Iliria Fushe’s goalscorer: Produced the decisive finish and worked hard defensively from the front.
• Iliria’s goalkeeper: Commanded his area well and made crucial saves during Kastrioti’s late push.
• Kastrioti Kruje’s central midfielder: Tried to dictate tempo and drive the team forward, especially after the break.
• Kastrioti’s centre-back: Defended well against Iliria’s counter-attacks and helped sustain pressure with forward passing.

Season Impact

The three points give KS Iliria Fushe a valuable boost in the Albanian Division 1 table and reward their disciplined away performance. Wins of this kind can be crucial in a league where fine margins often decide promotion and relegation battles. Kastrioti Kruje will be disappointed to lose at home, especially after controlling long spells, but their response in the closing stages showed character. Turning possession into clearer chances will be the priority in their next fixtures.
