Al Kuwait gradually grew into the contest after a difficult opening half-hour. Their supporters responded to the team’s increased urgency after the break, and for a 20-minute spell the home side looked the more likely team to score. Nasaf Qarshi, however, retained their composure and found the decisive moment late on.

Key Moments

12th minute — Nasaf Qarshi open the scoring. Shahzod Akramov cut in from the right and curled a precise left-footed effort beyond the reach of the Al Kuwait goalkeeper. It was a sharp, confident finish that rewarded Nasaf’s bright start.

34th minute — Nasaf double the lead. Jasur Jaloliddinov finished off a swift counter-attack, arriving late in the box to side-foot the ball into the bottom corner. Al Kuwait had been pushing men forward, and Nasaf punished them with a clinical transition.

58th minute — Al Kuwait pull one back. Yousef Nasser gave the home side hope with a powerful header from a corner. The delivery was accurate, and Nasser’s movement allowed him to get between two defenders and direct the ball downward into the net.

76th minute — The comeback is complete. Mohammed Al-Harbi equalised after a sustained spell of Al Kuwait pressure. A half-cleared ball fell to him on the edge of the area, and he drove a low shot through a crowded penalty box and past the goalkeeper.

88th minute — Nasaf Qarshi find the winner. Sardor Rakhmonov reacted quickest to a rebound inside the box, turning the ball home from close range. Al Kuwait’s defenders appealed for a possible offside, but the goal stood, and Nasaf celebrated a crucial away victory.

There was still time for one final Al Kuwait chance in stoppage time, but a goal-bound effort was cleared off the line amid frantic scenes. The final whistle arrived moments later, confirming a 3-2 win for Nasaf Qarshi.

Tactical Story

Nasaf Qarshi’s 4-2-3-1 shape worked effectively, especially in the first half. Their two holding midfielders protected the back four, while the attacking midfielders drifted into half-spaces and created problems for Al Kuwait’s defensive line. Nasaf were also willing to press high, forcing Al Kuwait into hurried passes and turnovers in dangerous areas.

Al Kuwait SC responded by switching to a more direct approach after the interval. Their wingers stayed wider, the full-backs pushed higher, and Nasser became a focal point in the box. That adjustment brought the home side back into the game, but it also left space for Nasaf to counter. In the end, the visitors’ ability to defend deep and break quickly proved decisive.
