Tactical Story

Tainan City Steel’s 4-3-3 focused on controlling the ball and creating overloads in wide areas, but they initially struggled to break down Yangon’s disciplined defensive block. As the game wore on, their midfielders pushed higher and the full-backs became more aggressive, which helped sustain pressure.

Yangon United’s 4-2-3-1 was built for counter-attacking. Their midfield screened the central spaces well and their forwards were quick to attack any loose touches. The equaliser forced them deeper for a spell, but they still carried a threat on the break until the final whistle.

Standout Performers

Lin Wei-chieh was Tainan City Steel’s most influential player, scoring the equaliser and linking play intelligently. Aung Kyaw impressed for Yangon United with his movement and finishing, while both goalkeepers made important contributions in a game that could have produced more goals.

The point keeps both clubs in the AFC Challenge League group-stage picture, but neither will be completely satisfied. Tainan City Steel showed character to come from behind, while Yangon United will rue missed chances to take all three points. With the group table still tight, the return fixtures could prove decisive.
