Sokol Hradec Kralove Women delivered a commanding road performance on October 5, 2026, defeating Slovanka Women 85-67 in the Zenska Basketbalova Liga. The final score reflected Sokol Hradec Kralove's balance on both ends of the floor. Slovanka Women stayed within striking distance early, but the visitors' defensive pressure, perimeter shooting, and deeper scoring attack gradually turned the contest into a one-sided affair. The 18-point margin was Sokol's largest of the night and underlined their efficiency in a league where road wins can shape the standings.

Key Moments

The defining stretch came in the second quarter. With Slovanka trailing by only three after the first period, Sokol Hradec Kralove produced a 14-2 run that changed the rhythm of the game. The sequence featured transition baskets, an open three-pointer from the wing, and several defensive stops that forced Slovanka into contested shots late in the possession. By the time the run ended, Sokol had opened a 35-22 lead and taken full control.

Slovanka showed signs of life early in the third quarter, cutting the gap to 11 behind a pair of quick baskets and an offensive rebound putback. But Sokol answered immediately with an 8-0 burst of its own, capped by a three-point play from the post. That response effectively ended Slovanka's comeback hopes. In the fourth quarter, Sokol slowed the tempo, protected the ball, and converted free throws to keep the margin comfortable.

Tactical Story

Sokol Hradec Kralove won this game with defense and ball movement. The visitors pressured Slovanka's guards well beyond the three-point line, forced turnovers, and turned those mistakes into easy points. Sokol finished with a decisive edge in points off turnovers and controlled the defensive glass, limiting Slovanka's second-chance opportunities. On offense, Sokol shared the ball effectively, consistently finding open shooters against Slovanka's rotating defense.

Slovanka Women struggled most with perimeter shooting and half-court execution. When their initial offensive actions were stopped, the offense became more isolation-based, leading to difficult shots late in the clock. Slovanka competed on the boards and found some success inside, but the team could not match Sokol's efficiency from beyond the arc or in transition. The home side's best moments came when it pushed the pace, but those moments were too infrequent to change the outcome.
