Key Moments

The first major swing came midway through the opening quarter. With the score still close, Lokomotiva Trutnov reeled off a 10-0 run built on steals and fast-break layups. That burst forced Slovanka into an early timeout and established the defensive identity that would define the game.

Early in the second quarter, Trutnov delivered another decisive stretch. A 12-2 run, powered by second-chance points and three-point shooting, stretched the lead to 30-14. Slovanka managed a few answers in the paint, but the home side closed the half with a pair of free throws and a transition basket to take a 38-20 lead into the locker room.

The third quarter was where the game turned into a rout. Trutnov scored the first nine points after the break, forcing Slovanka into difficult contested shots. By the end of the period, the margin had grown to 55-30, and the fourth quarter became an opportunity for the Trutnov bench to close out the result.

Tactical Story

Lokomotiva Trutnov Women won this game with defense. Their full-court pressure disrupted Slovanka’s half-court sets and created repeated transition opportunities. Trutnov’s guards pushed the tempo whenever possible, while the frontcourt controlled the defensive glass and limited second-chance points.

Slovanka Women struggled to find clean looks against Trutnov’s switching defense. The visitors were often forced into late-shot-clock attempts, and their outside shooting never found a consistent rhythm. When Slovanka did break the pressure, Trutnov rotated quickly to contest at the rim, making every basket a difficult one.

The rebounding battle also favored the hosts. Trutnov won the boards comfortably and turned those possessions into quick outlet passes. On offense, the home side shared the ball well, finishing with a healthy assist total and contributing points from both the starting five and the bench. The result was a complete team performance rather than a one-player outburst.

Standout Players

• Tereza Nováková — 18 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists, 2 steals. Nováková controlled the pace and consistently broke down Slovanka’s defense in pick-and-roll situations.
• Lucie Dvořáková — 14 points, 9 rebounds, 3 blocks. Dvořáková anchored the paint and made life difficult for Slovanka near the basket.
• Markéta Kučerová — 12 points, 5 steals, 3 assists. Kučerová was the spark behind Trutnov’s transition game and finished with a team-high steal count.
• Anna Svobodová — 11 points, 6 rebounds for Slovanka Women. Svobodová was the visitors’ most reliable scorer, often creating her own shot when the offense stalled.

Trutnov’s bench also made a meaningful contribution, maintaining the defensive standard and extending the lead in the fourth quarter. That depth will be important as the Zenska Basket
