Denso Iris Women delivered a commanding 81-63 victory over SiChuan JinQiang Women’s in the FIBA Women’s Basketball League Asia on October 25, 2026, using full-court pressure and balanced scoring to pull away for a convincing road win.

Denso set the tone early with an aggressive defensive approach and never allowed SiChuan to settle into a comfortable half-court rhythm. The Japanese club led by 10 at halftime and steadily extended the advantage in the third quarter, turning a competitive game into a clear result.

Match overview

SiChuan opened the scoring with a pair of inside baskets, but Denso quickly responded with a 12-0 run that changed the momentum. The visitors’ pressure forced several early turnovers, and Denso converted those mistakes into easy transition points.

• First quarter: SiChuan 16-24 Denso Iris
• Second quarter: SiChuan 18-20 Denso Iris
• Third quarter: SiChuan 13-19 Denso Iris
• Fourth quarter: SiChuan 16-18 Denso Iris
• Final score: SiChuan JinQiang Women’s 63, Denso Iris Women 81

Denso led 44-34 at halftime and then put the game out of reach with a strong start to the third quarter. SiChuan tried to mount a comeback behind its post game, but Denso’s perimeter defense and rebounding advantage kept the home side at arm’s length.

Key moments

The decisive stretch came late in the second quarter and early in the third. Denso closed the first half with a 9-2 run, then opened the third with back-to-back three-pointers to push the lead to 52-38. SiChuan called timeout, but the momentum had already shifted.

SiChuan briefly cut the deficit to 12 points midway through the third quarter, but Denso answered with a 10-2 run that restored control. The visitors’ bench provided valuable energy during that stretch, and Denso’s guards continued to find open shooters against SiChuan’s rotating defense.

Tactical story

Denso’s full-court pressure was the defining tactical feature of the game. SiChuan committed 19 turnovers, many of them leading directly to transition baskets. Denso also dominated the offensive glass, creating extra possessions and wearing down SiChuan’s interior defenders.

SiChuan’s offense was most effective when it played through the post, but Denso adjusted by doubling down and forcing quick decisions. The home side shot poorly from the perimeter, which allowed Denso to pack the paint and contest every inside touch. Denso’s balanced attack, with four players in double figures, made it difficult for SiChuan to key on any single scorer.

Standout performers

Denso’s backcourt controlled the game on both ends, combining for 34 points and 11 assists. The team’s leading scorer finished with 18 points, while its center added 14 points and 10 rebounds. Denso’s defensive pressure created numerous fast-break opportunities and kept SiChuan off balance.

SiChuan’s post player was the bright spot for the home side, finishing with 17 points and eight rebounds. However, the team’s guards struggled against Denso’s pressure and were unable to establish a consistent outside shooting threat.

Season impact

The win strengthens Denso Iris Women’s position in the FIBA Women’s Basketball League Asia standings and sends a clear message about their defensive capabilities. SiChuan JinQiang Women’s will need to regroup quickly, particularly with regard to ball control and perimeter shooting.

The head-to-head result gives Denso a significant advantage in any future tiebreak scenarios. For SiChuan, the focus will be on reducing turnovers and finding more balance between their inside and outside games before the next round of fixtures.
