Key moments

Reducto’s decisive run came midway through the third quarter. Holding a four-point halftime lead, the visitors went on a 13-4 surge to push the advantage into double digits. 25 de Agosto fought back in the fourth and trimmed the deficit to seven late, but Reducto answered with a clutch three-pointer and steady free-throw shooting to keep the home side at bay.

Tactical story

Reducto controlled the tempo for long stretches, pushing the ball after misses and attacking before 25 de Agosto could set its defense. The visitors also did a better job of protecting the paint in the second half, forcing 25 de Agosto into contested outside shots. The home side won stretches on the offensive glass, but turnovers and missed free throws in key moments proved costly.

Standout performers

Reducto’s balanced scoring was the story, with multiple players contributing in double figures and the bench providing timely baskets. The guard play was particularly effective in breaking pressure and creating open looks. For 25 de Agosto, the interior scoring kept them close, but the team needed more consistent perimeter production to complete the comeback.

Season impact

The road win strengthens Reducto’s position in the Uruguay Tercera de Ascenso promotion race and shows they can close out tight games away from home. For 25 de Agosto, the loss is a missed opportunity, but the offensive output suggests they remain dangerous. Both teams will focus on defensive consistency as the season progresses.
