Goes moved the ball quickly, attacked closeouts, and found scoring contributions from multiple players. The visitors’ ability to score in bunches ultimately made the difference.

How Goes Took Control

The game was competitive early, with both sides trading baskets and playing at a high pace. Goes began to separate in the middle quarters by turning defensive stops into transition points and forcing Nacional into difficult rotations. Once the lead reached double figures, Goes managed the game well and kept Nacional at arm’s length.

• Final score: Nacional Montevideo 110, Goes 124
• Combined points: 234
• Winning edge: Goes’ depth and transition scoring
• Nacional’s fight: Reached 110 points but could not string together enough stops

Standout Themes and League Impact

Goes’ 124-point effort underlined its attacking potential in the Uruguay Liga Uruguaya. The team shared scoring responsibilities and punished Nacional whenever the defense collapsed. Nacional had strong offensive moments of its own, but the pattern of the game was set by Goes’ ability to answer every run with a quicker burst.

The result is an important one in the league standings and a confidence boost for Goes on the road. For Nacional Montevideo, the review will focus on defensive transition and rebounding. Scoring 110 points is usually enough to compete, but allowing 124 leaves little margin for error. Goes leave with the win and the momentum, while Nacional must regroup quickly in a competitive Uruguayan basketball landscape.
