Key moments

The game’s decisive moment came late in the second quarter. Leading 48-36, Kahramanmaras closed the half with a 12-4 run, capped by a buzzer-beating three-pointer from the wing. That pushed the lead to 20 points and effectively ended Cedi Osman Basketbol’s hopes of a comeback.

Any lingering doubt disappeared early in the third quarter when Kahramanmaras opened with a 10-0 surge, forcing another timeout. The hosts’ lead ballooned to 35 points in the fourth before the bench closed out the final minutes.

Tactical story

Kahramanmaras shot the ball extremely well, finishing with 58% from the field and 42% from three-point range. Their ball movement was exceptional, racking up 28 assists on 43 made field goals. Defensively, they forced 19 turnovers and turned those into 27 points, constantly disrupting Cedi Osman’s offensive sets.

Cedi Osman Basketbol struggled to contain dribble penetration and was often late rotating to shooters. Offensively, they relied too heavily on contested jump shots and managed only 12 free-throw attempts compared to Kahramanmaras’s 24.

Standout players

Emre Yılmaz led all scorers with 27 points, adding six assists and four rebounds. Kerem Demir posted 21 points and nine rebounds, while Mert Kaya contributed 18 points off the bench. Kahramanmaras had six players finish in double figures, highlighting their depth.

For Cedi Osman Basketbol, Can Aydın scored 17 points and Burak Şahin added 14, but the team’s leading scorers received little support. The visitors’ bench was outscored 48-23, a major factor in the blowout.

What the result means

The win moves Kahramanmaras up the Turkish Basketball First League standings and sends a warning to the rest of the competition. Their offensive efficiency and depth make them a tough matchup, especially at home. Cedi Osman Basketbol, meanwhile, will need to regroup defensively after a performance that exposed significant gaps in their perimeter containment and transition defense.
