TED Ankara Kolejliler Secure 72-63 Road Win at Cedi Osman Basketbol

TED Ankara Kolejliler produced a composed road performance in the Turkish Basketball First League on Saturday, 17 October 2026, defeating Cedi Osman Basketbol 72-63. The visitors controlled the decisive stretches of the game, answered every home run, and closed out the nine-point win with better execution in the final quarter.

The result gives TED Ankara Kolejliler an important early-season away victory, while Cedi Osman Basketbol are left to reflect on a game in which they stayed close for long periods but could not find enough scoring consistency down the stretch.

Match Overview

Cedi Osman Basketbol started with energy in front of their home support and held a narrow 18-16 lead after the first quarter. TED Ankara Kolejliler responded before halftime, tightening their half-court defense and moving the ball more patiently to take a 34-33 advantage into the break.

• First quarter: Cedi Osman Basketbol 18-16
• Second quarter: TED Ankara Kolejliler 18-15
• Third quarter: TED Ankara Kolejliler 20-14
• Fourth quarter: TED Ankara Kolejliler 18-16
• Final score: Cedi Osman Basketbol 63-72 TED Ankara Kolejliler

The third quarter proved to be the key separation period. TED Ankara Kolejliler came out of the locker room with better rhythm, limited Cedi Osman Basketbol to 14 points in the frame, and built a cushion that the hosts were unable to erase.

Key Moments

The game’s turning point arrived midway through the third quarter. With the score still tight, TED Ankara Kolejliler put together a 10-2 run built on defensive stops and quick transition opportunities. That burst forced Cedi Osman Basketbol to call timeout and changed the tempo of the contest.

Cedi Osman Basketbol did not fold. A late push in the fourth quarter brought the deficit back to single digits and briefly raised the possibility of a comeback. However, TED Ankara Kolejliler responded with a timely three-pointer and a pair of free throws to settle the game in the closing minutes.

Tactical Story

TED Ankara Kolejliler’s win was built on control rather than sheer pace. The visitors slowed the game in the half court, attacked selectively, and made Cedi Osman Basketbol work for every shot. Their defensive rotations were sharp, particularly on help-side coverage, and they forced the home side into several contested attempts late in the shot clock.

Cedi Osman Basketbol’s best moments came when they pushed the ball after misses and attacked before the defense could set. But those moments were too infrequent. The hosts also struggled to convert second-chance opportunities, and their outside shooting cooled after a promising opening quarter.

The rebounding battle was another important factor. TED Ankara Kolejliler did not dominate the glass, but they won enough key rebounds in the fourth quarter to deny Cedi Osman Basketbol extra possessions when the game was still in the balance.

Standout Performers

TED Ankara Kolejliler received a balanced scoring effort, with their backcourt doing much of the damage in transition and their interior players contributing important baskets around the rim. The visitors’ leading scorer was effective in the second half, while their point guard controlled the tempo and made smart decisions against pressure.

For Cedi Osman Basketbol, the home side’s top scorer kept them within striking distance for much of the night, and their frontcourt battled on the boards. In the end, though, the hosts lacked the same level of offensive support that TED Ankara Kolejliler found across their rotation.

Standings and Season Impact

For TED Ankara Kolejliler, this is the kind of road result that can shape an early-season campaign. Winning away from home in the Turkish Basketball First League requires patience and defensive discipline, and the visitors showed both. The victory also gives them a valuable head-to-head advantage if the teams remain close in the standings later in the season.

Cedi Osman Basketbol will view the loss as a missed opportunity, especially after a competitive first half. Their response in the next fixture will matter, but there were enough positive spells to suggest the team can bounce back quickly.
