Ankaragucu Mamak edged Konya Buyuksehir 93-88 in a high-scoring Turkish Basketball First League clash on 17 October 2026, producing one of the more entertaining offensive displays of the round. The hosts' ability to answer every Konya run proved the foundation of a hard-earned home victory.

Match Overview

Both teams arrived intent on pushing the pace, and the first half set the tone for an open, transition-heavy contest. Ankaragucu Mamak used their home court to dictate tempo, while Konya Buyuksehir countered with efficient perimeter shooting that kept the game close into the fourth quarter.

Key Moments

The game turned in the closing minutes when Ankaragucu Mamak strung together a series of stops and converted them into quick points at the other end. A burst of scoring in the final stretch gave the hosts just enough separation, and Konya Buyuksehir's late three-point attempts could not close the gap. Free-throw accuracy in the final minute sealed the result for Ankaragucu.

Standout Performers

Ankaragucu's backcourt controlled the flow of the game, combining efficient shooting with smart decision-making in pick-and-roll situations. Their interior players contributed important second-chance points. For Konya Buyuksehir, the scoring was well distributed, but defensive rebounding in the fourth quarter let them down at the worst possible moment.

Season Impact

The win is a meaningful boost for Ankaragucu Mamak in the Turkish Basketball First League standings, giving them momentum in front of their home supporters. Konya Buyuksehir leave with a narrow defeat but with plenty of encouragement from an 88-point road performance, and will look to tighten their late-game defence in the fixtures ahead.
