Team Info

tigerscores365 Scholar Basketball Academy is not a traditional competitive team but a premier developmental academy based in Metro Manila, Philippines, focused on shaping the next generation of basketball talent. While they may field teams in youth tournaments, their primary home is their state-of-the-art training facility in Mandaluyong City. The academy's mission is to provide holistic training for aspiring athletes, combining on-court skill development with academic support and character building. Founded by former professional players and educators, the academy attracts talented youngsters from across the country who dream of playing at the collegiate or professional level. The "team" history is one of producing individual success stories rather than winning championships. Numerous alumni have earned scholarships to top Philippine universities like the UAAP and NCAA schools, and a select few have even reached the professional PBA. The academy's peak is measured by the achievements of its students, such as seeing a graduate become a rookie of the year in a major collegiate league. The current roster of trainees is always evolving, with coaches working on fundamentals, basketball IQ, and physical conditioning. They may compete in invitational youth leagues, but the focus remains on long-term player growth over short-term results. The culture within the academy is one of discipline, hard work, and mentorship, with a strong emphasis on education alongside athletic pursuit. Scholar Basketball Academy stands as a crucial incubator for Philippine basketball talent, dedicated to building complete athletes and individuals.
