tigerscores365 The Missouri State University Women's basketball team, known as the Lady Bears, is a celebrated NCAA Division I program competing in the Missouri Valley Conference. Based in Springfield, Missouri, they play their thrilling home games at the iconic JQH Arena. The program rose to national prominence under legendary coaches, most notably during a Cinderella run to the NCAA Final Four in 1992 and again in 2001, led by stars like Jackie Stiles, who became the NCAA's all-time leading scorer. Those eras defined the team as a giant-killer and a model of excellence in mid-major women's basketball. The modern era continues this competitive tradition, with the Lady Bears regularly contending for MVC championships and NCAA Tournament berths, known for their defensive intensity and disciplined play. The team culture is one of family, resilience, and overwhelming community support in Springfield. The Missouri State Lady Bears remain a proud and storied program in women's collegiate basketball.
